Notice of Intention to Take a Leasehold Estate in Land for a Fire Brigade Station in the City of Napier, being Land Required for the New Napier Fire Brigade Station

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a fire brigade station, and for the purposes of such public work, the leasehold estate in land described in the Schedule hereto, held from the Napier Harbour Board by Frederick William Brown, of Napier, under and by virtue of memorandum of lease No. 8881, Hawke’s Bay Registry, is required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that the plan of the leasehold estate in land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Napier, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the execution of such public work or by the said taking of the said leasehold estate in land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said work or to the said taking, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

ALL that leasehold estate in land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing 3 acres and 18·7 perches, situated in the City of Napier, Hawke’s Bay R.D., and being part Lot 1, D.P. 6170, part Ahuriri Lagoon and part Te Whare-O-Maraenui Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 157749 (S.O. 3081) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District, County of Cook, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in line with the south-western boundary of Paokahu 3G, situated in Block VI, Turanganui Survey District, being also a point on the boundary of Cook County as described in Gazette, 22 March 1956, page 410, and proceeding in a north-westerly direction generally along a right line across a public road to and along the aforesaid boundary of Paokahu 3G to the northernmost point of that boundary, along the north-western boundaries of Paokahu 3F, 3E 1, 3E 2, and 3D to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Pokaiongawaka No. 1, along a right line across the Awapuni Lagoon and across the Napier-Gisborne Railway to and along the said south-western boundary of Pokaiongawaka No. 1 and its production across the Willows Settlement Road to the western side of that road;
