Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a university; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 17th day of August 1959.

SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 25·4 perches, situated in the City of Wellington, Wellington R.D., being part Lot 13, Block II, D.P. 1185, being part Section 28, Karori District. All certificate of title, Volume 263, folio 271, Wellington Land Registry.

All that piece of land containing 3 roods 31 perches, situated in the Borough of Waimate, Canterbury R.D., being closed street adjoining Town Sections 435 to 444 and 462 to 470 (all inclusive); as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159484 (S.O. 9561) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

All that piece of land containing 7 acres 2 roods 36 perches, situated in Block II, Whakamaru Survey District, being part land on D.P. 19831, being part Maraetai Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 146092 (S.O. 36402) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia, edged sepia.
