ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, County of
Kaikoura, containing 700 acres, more or less, bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark
of the sea in line with the northern boundary of Lot 9,
D.P. 464 in Block X, Mount Fyffe Survey District, and
proceeding westerly generally by a right line across Crown
land, the South Island Main Trunk Railway and a public road
to and along the said boundary to the north-west corner
of the said Lot 9; thence westerly by a right line across the
Picton-Christchurch State Highway to the north-eastern corner
of part Lot 1, D.P. 57; thence westerly and southerly generally
along the northern and western boundaries of the said part
Lot 1 to the left (east) bank of Lyell Creek; thence con-
tinuing southerly generally by the said left bank to a point
in line with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 1504;
thence westerly across Lyell Creek to and along that boundary
to the south-western corner of the said Lot 1; thence southerly
generally along the eastern side of Turners Road to the
northern side of Ludstone Road; thence westerly generally
by a right line across Turners Road to the south-eastern
corner of part Section 291, Kaikoura Suburban Registration
District; thence westerly generally along the southern bound-
aries of the said Section 291 and Section 197, Kaikoura
Registration District, and the production of the last-mentioned

by a right line across Ludstone Road to the north-eastern
corner of part Section 198, Kaikoura Suburban Registration
District; thence continuing southerly generally along the eastern
boundary of the said Section 198 and its production across
the South Island Main Trunk Railway, to and along the
eastern boundary of Section 27, Block X, Mount Fyffe
Survey District, and along the eastern boundary of Section
28, Block X, Mount Fyffe Survey District, and the pro-
duction of the last-mentioned boundary across a public road
to and along the eastern boundaries of Section 29, Block X,
Mount Fyffe Survey District, and the aforesaid Section 27, to
the south-eastern corner of the said Section 27; thence southerly
by a right line across part Lot 8, D.P. 726, to the north-
eastern corner of Section 203, Kaikoura Suburban Registration
District; thence southerly along the western boundaries of
Lots 36 and 37, D.P. 1034, to the south-western corner of
the said Lot 37; and easterly generally along the southern
boundary of Lot 37 and its production to a point in line with
the centre line of Scarborough Street; thence generally south-
easterly along the said centre line of Scarborough Street to
its intersection with the centre line of Maui Street; thence
south-easterly along the centre line of Maui Street to a point
in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 1597;
thence south-westerly generally by a right line to the north-
western corner of the said Lot 1; thence south-easterly
generally along the south-western side of Maui Street and
its production to the eastern side of Ward Street; thence
northerly along the eastern side of Ward Street and south-
easterly along the south-western side of Scarborough Street

All that area in the Marlborough Land District, County of
Kaikoura, bounded by a line commencing at the mean
high-water mark of the sea in line with the northern boundary
of Lot 9, D.P. 464 in Block X, Mount Fyffe Survey District,
and proceeding westerly generally by a right line across
Crown land, the South Island Main Trunk Railway and a
public road to and along the said boundary to the north-
west corner of the said Lot 9; thence westerly by a right

aforesaid Section 27, to the south-eastern corner of the said
Section 27; thence southerly by a right line across part Lot
8, D.P. 726, to the north-eastern corner of Section 203,
Kaikoura Suburban Registration District; thence southerly
along the western boundaries of Lots 36 and 37, D.P. 1034,
to the south-western corner of the said Lot 37; and easterly
generally along the southern boundary of Lot 37 and its
production to a point in line with the centre line of

westerly, and north-westerly generally by the mean high-water
mark of the sea to the middle of the Kowhai River; thence
north-westerly generally up the middle of the said river to
a point in line with the south-western boundary of Run 128
in Block XIII, Greenburn Survey District; thence north-
westerly generally by a right line to and along the said
south-western boundary of Run 128 to the westernmost point
of the said Run 128; thence north-easterly and south-easterly
generally along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries
of the said Run 128 to the northernmost point of Run 125
in Block XIV, Kaitarau Survey District; thence south-easterly
generally along the north-eastern boundary of the said Run
125, and north-easterly generally along the north-western
boundary of Small Grazing Run 101, Block I, Mount Fyffe
Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned
boundary to the middle of the Hapuku River; thence
south-easterly generally down the middle of the said river
to its junction with the mean high-water mark of the sea;
thence south-westerly generally along the said mean high-
water mark to the point of commencement.

Revoking Designation of State Highway, Revoking Declaration
of Main Highway
PURSUANT to sections 11 and 12 of the National Roads Act
1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written
approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice as
follows:
- (1) The main highway described in the First Schedule
hereto shall cease to be designated State highway.
(2) The public highways described in the First and Second
Schedules hereto shall cease to be main highways.
(3) The Order in Council made on the 17th day of May
1951* declaring (inter alia) the said highways to be main
highways is hereby consequentially amended by revoking so
much of the Second Schedule as relates to the said highways.
- This notice shall come into force the day after the date
of its publication in the Gazette.

ROADS COUNCIL DISTRICT No. 11
NELSON-STOKE VIA JENKINโS HILL: All that road or portion
of road in the City of Nelson described in the Gazette dated
17 May 1951; coloured yellow on plan P.W.D. 155704.
