ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 22nd day of July 1959

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Ngakuru Rabbit District Order 1959.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Ngakuru Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 26th day of July 1950,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE NGAKURU RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District in the Rotorua and Matamata Counties and Rotorua Borough containing 155,750 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the eastern boundary of the Matamata County as described in Gazette, 1950, page 277, with the middle of the Tikitiki Stream in Block V, Horohoro Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly generally along the southern boundary of the Kaharoa Rabbit District as hereinbefore described to and along the southern sides of Pukehangi and Horohoro Roads, and along a right line being the production of the last-mentioned southern side across Old Taupo Road to its north-eastern side; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of Old Taupo Road and the Rotorua-Taupo State Highway to a point in line with the north-western boundary of part Rotomahana-Parekarangi 6A 2 No. 1A in Block XIV, Tarawera Survey District; thence south-westerly generally along a right line crossing the said highway to and along the north-western boundary of the aforesaid 6A 2 No. 1A and along the south-eastern boundary of part Rotomahana-Parekarangi 2d, to its southernmost corner (Patete) crossing the intervening Waikite Valley Road; thence along a right line to Trig. Station 31 (Paeroa) in Block V, Paeroa Survey District; thence again south-westerly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of Rotomahana-Parekarangi 6A 2 No. 2B 1, part Section 2, Block VIII, Ngongotaha Survey District, to and along the south-western boundary of Rotomahana-Parekarangi 3A 2A to the northernmost corner of Paeroa South C 2B in Block IX, Paeroa Survey District; thence along a right line crossing Puati Road to and along the south-eastern boundary of Paeroa South A 3 to the right bank of the Waikato River; thence north-westerly generally along the aforesaid right bank to and along the eastern boundary of the Tokoroa Rabbit District as hereinbefore described to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Taieri Ridge Rabbit District Order 1959.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Taieri Ridge Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 15th day of September 1948,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE TAIERI RIDGE RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Counties of Taieri and Waihemo, of the Otago Land District, containing 125,500 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Section 16, Block III, Rock and Piller Survey District; thence generally easterly along the northern boundaries of Section 16, Block III, and Section 3, Block IV, Rock and Piller Survey District, and Section 2, Block IV, Highlay Survey District, to and across Matheson Road; thence generally south-easterly and south-westerly along the eastern side of Matheson Road, Highlay Road, and Matheson Road to the Hyde-Macraes road; thence south-westerly along the eastern side of Scorgie Road to the northernmost corner of Section 14, Block I, Budle Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Sections 14, 26, 15, and 16, Block I, Budle Survey District, and along the eastern side of a roadline through Section 1, Block III, Strath-Taieri Survey District, and along the western boundaries of Sections 18, 1, and 2, Block VII, Strath-Taieri Survey District, to the south-western corner of Section 2 aforesaid; thence easterly along the northern boundaries of Sections 3 and 14, Block VII, Strath-Taieri Survey District, to and across a road; thence generally southerly along the western boundaries of Sections 17, 16, 24, 15, 14, Block VI, Budle Survey District, and Sections 2 and 1, Block I, Hummock Survey District; thence generally south-easterly and south-westerly along the northern, eastern, and south-eastern boundaries of Section 4, Block I, aforesaid, to its southernmost crossing of the Nenthorn Stream; thence generally south-easterly along the centre of the Nenthorn Stream, to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Run 121, Hummock Survey District; thence generally south-easterly to and along the south-western boundaries of Runs 121 and 121A; thence generally southerly and south-westerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 1 and 2, Block VII, and Section 1, Block IX, Hummock Survey District, and Section 3, Block VIII, Silverpeak Survey District, to Three o’clock Stream; thence generally south-westerly along the centre of that stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 4, Block VIII, Silverpeak Survey District; thence generally south-westerly to and along the north-western boundary of Section 1, Block VIII, Silverpeak Survey District, to the westernmost corner of that section; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Section 3, Block VIII, and Section 2, Block VII, Nenthorn Survey District, and to the centre of the Taieri River; thence generally north-westerly and north-easterly along the centre of that river, to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 16, Block III, Rock and Piller Survey District; thence north-easterly to the point of commencement.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Linnburn-Puketoi Rabbit District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 17th day of November 1948,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE LINNBURN-PUKETOI RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Maniototo, Vincent, and Tuapeka Counties, containing 129,900 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Section 2, Block XI, Gimmerburn Survey District; thence easterly along the northern boundaries of Section 2 aforesaid and Section 21, Block III; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Section 21 aforesaid and Section 22, Block III; thence easterly along the southern boundaries of Sections 16 and 17, Block III, to the Puketoi-Highfield Road; thence southerly along that road to the northern
