HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Otama Rabbit District Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The boundaries of the Otama Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 25th day of January 1956,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE OTAMA RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Southland Land District containing an estimated 77,700 acres, more or less, inclusive of roads and streams and bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Waikaia River due west of the northernmost corner of Section 4, Block VI, Waikaia Survey District; then due east by a right line across a public road to the northernmost corner of Section 4 aforesaid; then southerly generally along the eastern boundaries of Sections 4, 4b, and 1, Block VI aforesaid, and again southerly generally along the western boundaries of Blocks VI and XIV, Waikaia Survey District, to its junction with an unsurveyed public road along the watershed between Argyle Burn and the Waikaia River; then south-westerly generally, along the western and northern sides of the said road, passing Trigs. M and J, to its junction with the western boundary of Run 529; then south-westerly along the said boundary, to its junction with the Waikaia-Waikaka road; then south-easterly generally, across the Waikaia-Waikaka road and along its southern side to its junction with an unsurveyed public road along the watershed between the Wendon Stream and the Waikaia River; then in a south-westerly direction generally, along the north-western side of the said road and the western side of a public road forming the western boundaries of Sections 13 and 12,
Block XIV, Wendon Survey District, to the southern boundary of Block XIV aforesaid; then due east along the southern boundary of the said Block XIV, to the western boundary of Block XI, Wendon Survey District; then due south along the western boundaries of Block XI and Block III, Wendon Survey District, to the south-western corner of the said Block III; then easterly along the southern boundaries of Block III and Block VIII to the right bank of the Waikaka Stream; then south-easterly generally along that right bank to the north-western side of the Willowbank-Waikaka Main Highway; then south-westerly along that side of the said highway to its junction with the Chatton-Waikaka Main Highway; then south-easterly along the south-western side of the Willowbank-Waikaka Main Highway to a point where it crosses the Waikaka Branch Railway Reserve; then southerly generally along the western side of the said railway reserve to the northern boundary of Section 9, Block I, Chatton Survey District; then westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of the aforesaid Section 9, crossing the Willowbank-Waikaka Main Highway, to the northern boundary of the land shown on the plan numbered 1245 and deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Invercargill; then westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of the land shown on the plan numbered 1245 aforesaid to the northern side of Morrisons Road, along that side and the northern sides of a public road and Mathesons Road to the southern side of Gold Creek Road; then easterly across Gold Creek Road to the western boundary of Section 14, Block XII, Chatton Survey District; then northerly along that boundary to the southern boundary of Section 1A, Block X, Chatton Survey District; then westerly along that boundary and the southern boundary of Section 1, Block X aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the south-west side of Knapdale Road; then north-westerly along that side of Knapdale Road to the eastern boundary of Section 16, Block XI, Chatton Survey District; then southerly and westerly generally along the eastern and southern boundaries of that section and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the left bank of the Mataura River; then north-westerly generally along the left bank of the Mataura River, including Section 1, Block I, Otama Survey District, to a point opposite the mouth of the Waimea Stream; then north-westerly by a right line across the Mataura River to a point on the right bank of the said river at its junction with the Waimea Stream; then northerly generally along the right bank of the Mataura River, to its confluence with the Waikaia River; then due north by a right line, to the left bank of the Waikaia River; then north-easterly generally, along the left bank of the Waikaia River to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF THE EAST WAIKATO RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District in the Matamata County containing 181,600 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing on the northern shores of Karapiro Lake at the south-western corner of Section 129, Block XVI, Cambridge Survey District, and proceeding northerly along the western boundary of that section to and easterly generally along the middles of the Hamilton-Rotorua State Highway, the Piarere-Kaimai Main Highway, Totmans Road, the Rotorua Branch Railway, the Waiomou Main Road, down the middle of the Oraka Stream and up the middle of the Waihou River to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Rangitanuku 1A, situated in Block XI, Tapapa Survey District; then again easterly along a
