Boundaries of County of Manukau and Borough of Papatoetoe Altered

At the Government House at Wellington this 15th day of July 1959

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. On and from the 1st day of October 1959, the areas described in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the County of Manukau and included in the Borough of Papatoetoe.

  2. The alteration of the boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

AREAS EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF MANUKAU AND INCLUDED IN BOROUGH OF PAPATOETOE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing 436 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the Borough of Papatoetoe, being the northernmost corner of Lot 2, Block II, D.P. 20840, in Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly generally along the north-western boundary of Lots 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, D.P. 44458, Lots 1, 2, and 3, D.P. 45048, and part Lot 2, D.P. 30352, to and along the south-western and western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 10065, taken for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway, Gazette, 1956, page 1652, and shown on S.O. Plan 39721, to and along the western boundary of an area of 1 acre and 0·7 perches, being part Lot 20, D.P. 6873, taken as aforesaid by Gazette, 1958, page 1424, to its northernmost corner; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway, being along the generally south-western boundaries of the areas shown as 2 acres and 31·7 perches on S.O. Plan 39191; 3 acres and 20·2 perches on S.O. Plan 39339; 3 acres 1 rood 18·1 perches on S.O. Plan 38661, to and along the north-western side of the Papatoetoe-Howick Main Highway (East Tamaki Road), to and again along the south-western boundary of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway, being the generally south-western boundaries of the areas, 1 rood 3·8 perches, 2 acres 3 roods 36·5 perches, and 14·7 perches on S.O. Plan 39337, along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotment 263, Manurewa Parish, Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 45746, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 25, 26, and 29, D.P. 44834, Lot 30, D.P. 45167, Lots 55, 10, 9, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, D.P. 46107, Lots 14, 15, and 17, D.P. 43751, Lots 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21, 22, 26, and 30, D.P. 44017, again along the south-western boundary of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway, being the generally south-western boundaries of the areas of 38·7 perches, 1 acre 3 roods 1·2 perches, 2 acres and 35·5 perches, 2 acres 1 rood 34·9 perches, 1 rood 4·7 perches, on S.O. Plan 39331, and along the south-western boundary of the area of 2 acres 2 roods 9·3 perches, on the aforesaid S.O. Plan 39331 to a point 294·34 links south-east of its western corner; thence south-westerly generally along a right line 250 links distant from and parallel to the southern side of Puhinui Road, crossing Lot 1, D.P. 38825, and Great South Road to its western side; thence along that western side to and along the southern side of Puhinui Road, to and along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Lot 4, D.P. 41160, to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 41160; thence along a right line to and along the southern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 41160, Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 39347, and along a right line across Lot 3, D.P. 39347, to and along the southern boundaries of Lots 4 and 3, D.P. 45909, and another right line across part Lot 3, D.P. 16810, to and along the southern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 45909, to and along another right line across Lot 2, D.P. 16810, and Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 44297, to and along the southern boundaries of Lots 9, 8, and 7, D.P. 44416, a right line across part Lot 2, D.P. 20537, the southern boundaries of Lots 6, 5, and 4, D.P. 44416, a right line across another part of Lot 2, D.P. 20537, along the southern boundaries of Lots 3, 2, and 1, D.P. 44416, Lots 17, 16, and 15, D.P. 41167, along another right line across part Lot 2, D.P. 20537, to and along the southern boundaries of Lots 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, and 7, D.P. 41167, another right line across part Lot 2, D.P. 20537, and along the southern boundaries of Lots 6, 5, and 4, D.P. 41167, to and south-easterly generally along the western and southern boundaries of part Lot 2, D.P. 20537, taken for a public school by Gazette, 1952, page 1469, and shown on S.O. Plan 37097, to and along the western boundary of part of Lot 2, D.P. 20537, and that boundary produced to the middle of the Puhinui Stream; thence westerly generally down the middle of the aforesaid stream to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 305, D.P. 18037; thence northerly generally along the boundary of the Borough of Papatoetoe, as described in Gazette, 1950, page 1536, to the point of commencement.

Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District containing 106 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the Borough of Papatoetoe, being the southernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 32873, in Block X, Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding south-westerly generally along a right line crossing a public road, to and along the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 45477, and the southern and western boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 37827, to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 33066; thence along a right line across part Lot 3, D.P. 9075, to and along that southern boundary along another right line across part Lot 3, D.P. 9075, to and along the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 40091, along the eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 37234, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 37234; thence along the western boundary of the aforesaid Lot 2, to and along the northern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 37234, to and along the eastern side of McLaughlan Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 43123; thence along a right line across that road and Lots 3, 2, and part Lot 1, Deeds Plan P. 36, to and along the southern boundaries of Lots 3 and 2 and the southern and western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 43123, and the last-mentioned boundary produced across Puhinui Road to and along its northern side to the south-eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 20582; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of that lot to its north-eastern corner; thence south-easterly generally along the boundary of the Borough of Papatoetoe, as described in Gazette, 1950, page 1536, to the point of commencement.

Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District containing 30 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the Borough of Papatoetoe, being the southernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 24793, in Block X, Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding south-westerly generally along the northern and north-western boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 20852, to and northerly generally along the north-eastern side of public road to and along the northern side of Pah Road to and along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 27, D.P. 15328, and that boundary produced to the middle of the stream which forms the northern boundaries of Lot 27, D.P. 15328, Lots 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25, D.P. 43797, and Lots 8, 9, and 10, D.P. 44847; thence easterly up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 10 aforesaid; thence south-easterly along a right line to and along that north-eastern boundary, the abutment of a public road, and the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 7 and 4, D.P. 44847, to and along the northern side of Pah Road to the boundary of the Borough of Papatoetoe; thence easterly and southerly along that borough boundary as described in Gazette, 1950, page 1536, to the point of commencement.

Also all that area in the North Auckland Land District containing 82 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the Borough of Papatoetoe, being the northernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 37930, and proceeding easterly along a right line across the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the southernmost corner of Lot 240, D.P. 43645; thence north-easterly along the western boundary of that lot to and easterly and southerly generally along the line of mean high water of the Tamaki River and the Otaki Creek to and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 129, 81, 80, 79, 78, 77, 76, 75, 74, 73, 72, 71, 70, 69, 68, 67, 66, 65, 64, 63, and the north-eastern boundaries of Lot 62, D.P. 43646, to the northernmost corner of Lot 16, D.P. 39698; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along the boundary of the Borough of Papatoetoe as described in Gazette, 1950, page 1536, to the point of commencement.

Amending an Order in Council Authorising the Napier City Council to Erect and Maintain Electric Lines

At the Government House at Wellington this 15th day of July 1959

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby further amends the Order in Council dated the 6th day of July 1925 and published in the Gazette on the 9th day of the same month, authorising the Napier City Council to erect and maintain electric lines, as amended by an Order in Council dated the 21st day of January 1948 and published in the Gazette on the 23rd day of the same month at page 67, by deleting clause 2 of the Schedule thereto and substituting therefor the following clause:

“2. SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY

“The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (d), (e), and (f) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.”
