Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Limited Speed Zone Declared
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

That Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 11th day of May 1955,* which relates to an area at Hawarden in Waipara County is hereby revoked.

The roads specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.

LIMITED SPEED ZONE
SITUATED at Hawarden within Waipara County—
The Waikari-Waitohi Main Highway No. 143 (from a point 24 chains south of its junction with the Hawarden - Waitohi Gorge Main Highway No. 606 and the Hawarden-Heathstock Main Highway No. 179 to a point 36 chains east of the said junction).
The Hawarden-Heathstock Main Highway No. 179 (from its junction with the Waikari-Waitohi Main Highway No. 143 and the Hawarden - Waitohi Gorge Main Highway No. 606 to a point 26 chains west of the said junction).
The Hawarden-Waitohi Gorge Main Highway No. 606 (from its junction with the Waikari-Waitohi Main Highway No. 143 and the Hawarden-Heathstock Main Highway No. 179 to a point 14 chains north of the said junction).

The Haywards-Paremata via Pahautanui State Highway No. 95 (from a point 8 chains west of its junction with the Pahautanui-Paekakariki Main Highway No. 588 to a point 8 chains south-east of the said junction).
The Pahautanui-Paekakariki Main Highway No. 588 (from its junction with the Haywards-Paremata via Pahautanui State Highway No. 95 to the junction of the Pahautanui-Plimmerton Main Highway No. 437 with the Pahautanui-Paekakariki Main Highway No. 588).

Limited Speed Zones Declared and Excluding Roads from Speed Limitation
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

The roads specified in the First Schedule to this notice are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within West Harbour Borough:
The Dunedin - Port Chalmers Main Highway No. 225 (from a point 20 chains west of its junction with Tekapo Street to the western boundary of West Harbour Borough).
The new main road (from a point 15 chains north-east of its junction with Jessie Street to the junction of the Dunedin - Port Chalmers Main Highway No. 225 with the said new main road at a point approximately 40 chains south-west and south along the Dunedin - Port Chalmers Main Highway No. 225 from its junction with District Road).
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within West Harbour Borough:
The Dunedin - Port Chalmers Main Highway No. 225 (from a point 20 chains west of its junction with Tekapo Street to the western boundary of West Harbour Borough).
The new Main Road (from its junction with Ruru Avenue extension to a point opposite the main entrance to the St. Leonards Railway Station).
