Extending a 30 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

So much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 13th day of October 1938,* as relates to the Piopio-Ohura via Aria Main Highway No. 870 at Piopio in Waitomo County referred to in the said Warrant as the Piopio-Tatu Main Highway is hereby revoked.

The road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.
SCHEDULE
Situated within Waitoma County at Piopio—
The Piopio-Ohura via Aria Main Highway No. 870 (from its junction with the Te Kuiti - New Plymouth State Highway No. 9 to a point 24 chains south of the junction of Tui Street with the said main highway.

Extending a 30 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

So much of the Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 dated the 22nd day of July 1953,* as relates to the Papakura-Kawakawa via Clevedon Main Highway No. 804 in Papakura Borough, is hereby revoked.

The road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

Papakura-Kawakawa via Clevedon Main Highway No. 804 (from a point 11 chains north-east of its junction with Buninythorpe Road to the eastern boundary of Papakura Borough).

Recognition of Domestic Driving Permits
Pursuant to regulation 6 (1) (a) of the Transport (Convention on Road Traffic) Regulations 1958,* the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the recognition in New Zealand of valid driving licences or permits issued by competent authorities in the United States of America.

Classification of State Highways
Pursuant to regulation 3 (1) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport, as required by the National Roads Board, hereby revokes those portions of the Warrant dated the 29th day of June 1950†, in so far as they relate to the State highways described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby declares that the said State highways shall belong to the class as set out in the said Schedule.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Manawatu Development Scheme)
Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, with the exception of the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, the land described in the First Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said lands being so subject by virtue of notices dated 27 May 1947 and 8 September 1948 and published in the Gazette on 29 May 1947, Volume II, page 673, and on 16 September 1948, Volume III, page 1179.

Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 28 June 1938 and published in the Gazette, 30 June 1938, Volume II, page 1564.
