PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the portion of road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

The Levin-Hokio Main Highway No. 374 (from the bridge over the Hokio Stream at the north-western end of the said main highway to a point 48 chains south-east of the said bridge).

Revoking Designation of State Highway; Revoking Declaration of Main Highway; Declaring Public Highway to be Main Highway and Designating Main Highway to be State Highway

PURSUANT to sections 11 and 12 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with written approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice as follows:

The main highway described in the First Schedule hereto shall cease to be designated State highway.

(1) The public highway described in the First and Second Schedules hereto shall cease to be main highway.
(2) The Orders in Council made on 2 October 1940, 13 December 1938, 5 July 1928, 13 November 1934, 12 May 1948, declaring (inter alia) the portions of highway described in the First and Second Schedules hereto to be main highway is hereby consequentially amended by revoking so much of the Second Schedule thereto as relates to the said portions of highway.

The public highway described in the Third and Fourth Schedules hereto is hereby declared to be main highway within the meaning and for the purposes of the National Roads Act 1953.

The main highway described in the Fourth Schedule hereto is hereby designated State highway and shall form part of the Te Kuiti - National Park State Highway.

This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

TE KUITI - NATIONAL PARK: All that public highway described in the Order in Council dated 2 October 1940 known as the Te Kuiti - National Park State Highway.

TATU-TAUMARUNUI: All that public highway described in Gazette, No. 6, page 121, dated 24 January 1957, and known as the Tatu-Taumarunui Main Highway.
Morero Main Highway: All that public highway described in the Order in Council dated 13 December 1938 and known as the Morero Main Highway.
Manunui-Owhango: All that public highway described in the Order in Council dated 5 July 1928 and known as the Manunui-Owhango Main Highway.
Kururau-Taumarunui: All that public highway described in the Order in Council dated 13 November 1934 and known as the Kururau-Taumarunui Main Highway.
Taumarunui-Ongarue: All that public highway described in Order in Council dated 12 May 1948 and known as the Taumarunui-Ongarue Main Highway.

TATU-TAUMARUNUI: All that public highway in the County of Taumarunui commencing at its junction with the Stratford-Ohura Main Highway near the north-eastern corner of Subsection 1 of Section 13, Block 9, Ohura Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction via Harvey, Tokirima, Roto, Kururau, Opeta, Aorangi, and Wanganui River Roads to the south-western boundary of the Borough of Taumarunui at the southern point of the part of Section N 2E 1C which has a river frontage, Block 2, Piopiotea West Survey District, being a distance of 24 miles 60 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 159003 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Also all that public highway in the Borough of Taumarunui commencing at the south-western boundary of the said borough at the southern point of the part of Section N 2E 1C which has a river frontage, Block 2, Piopiotea West Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction via the Kururau Road and terminating at its junction with the Te Kuiti - National Park State Highway near the north-western corner of Section N 2E 3G 1A, Block 2, Piopiotea West Survey District, being a distance of 1 mile 20 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 159003 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Morero Main Highway: All that public highway in the Borough of Taumarunui commencing at its junction with the Te Kuiti - National Park State Highway near the north-western corner of the municipal reserve, part Section 18, Block 14A, Taumarunui Native Township, Block 1, Piopiotea Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction via Turaki Street and Morero Terrace to the Taumarunui County boundary on the northern bank of the Wanganui River near the south-eastern corner of Section 4, Taumarunui-Papakainga Block, Taumarunui Native Township, Block 1, Piopiotea West Survey District, being a distance of 35 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 159003 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured brown.
Also all that public highway in the County of Taumarunui commencing at the boundary of the said county on the northern bank of the Wanganui River near the south-eastern corner of Section 4, Taumarunui-Papakainga Block, Taumarunui Native Township, Block 1, Piopiotea West Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction via Victory Bridge and terminating at its junction with the Manunui-Owhanga Main Highway near the northern boundary of Section 13, Block 1, Hunua Survey District, being a distance of 7 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 159003 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board, and thereon coloured brown.
Manunui-Owhanga: All that public highway in the Town Board of Manunui commencing at its junction with the Te Kuiti - National Park State Highway near the north-western corner of Subsection 1 of Section 2, Block 2, Hunua Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction to the Taumarunui County boundary near the northern corner of Section 4, Block 2, Hunua Survey District, being a distance of 46 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 159003 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Also all that public highway in the County of Taumarunui commencing at the boundary of the said county near the northern corner of Section 4, Block 2, Hunua Survey District, and proceeding thence in a westerly direction generally to the south-eastern boundary of the Borough of Taumarunui near the south-western corner of part Section 3, Block 1, Hunua Survey District. Also all that public highway in the County of Taumarunui commencing at the boundary of the said county near the north-eastern corner of Section 12, Block 1, Hunua Survey District, and proceeding thence in a westerly, southerly, and south-easterly direction generally via the Wanganui River, Hikimutu, Hikimutu-Owhanga, and Kawau-tahi roads and terminating at Owhango at its junction with the Te Kuiti - National Park State Highway near the north-eastern corner of Section 2, Block 4, Kaitieke Survey District, being a distance of 17 miles 74 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 159003 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Also all that public highway in the Borough of Taumarunui commencing at a south-western boundary of the said borough near the south-western corner of part Section 3, Block 1, Hunua Survey District, and proceeding thence in a westerly direction generally to Taumarunui County boundary near the north-eastern corner of Section 12, Block 1, Hunua Survey District, being a distance of 40 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 159003 deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Kururau-Taumarunui: All that public highway in the County of Taumarunui commencing at its junction with the Tatu-Taumarunui Main Highway near the western corner of Section 1, Block 15, Ohura Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction via the Kururau
