Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to have been Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 4th day of March 1959.

The Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957, Amendment No. 18

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Minister of Industries and Commerce hereby gives the following notice:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957, Amendment No. 18, and shall be read together with and deemed to be part of the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

  2. This notice shall come into force on the 26th day of June 1959.

  3. The principal notice shall cease to apply in respect of the goods set out in the Schedule hereto.

  4. The principal notice is hereby consequentially amended by omitting from the Schedule thereto all references to the goods referred to in the Schedule hereto in respect of which, pursuant to clause 3 hereof, the principal notice no longer applies.

SCHEDULE

PREPARED poultry foods other than wheat, bran, and pollard, when sold to consumers in lots of less than 100 lbs.

Approval of Testing Officer Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Closely Populated Locality Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. That Warrant under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, dated the 4th day of February 1958,* which relates to an area at Te Atatu in Waitemata County, is hereby revoked.

  2. The area specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waitemata County at Te Atatu—

All that area at Te Atatu in Waitemata County commencing at the junction of the northern boundary of the Auckland-Whenuapai Motorway with the right (east) bank of Henderson Creek and proceeding generally in a northerly direction along the right (east) bank of Henderson Creek to the point where the said bank junctions with the shores of Waitemata Harbour; thence proceeding generally in an easterly and southerly direction along the shores of Waitemata Harbour to its junction with the northern boundary of the Auckland-Whenuapai Motorway; thence proceeding in a north-westerly direction along the northern boundary of the said motorway to the point of commencement.
