Allocating Land Acquired for Railway Purposes at Waihao Downs to the Purposes of a Road
COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become a road; and that the said road shall be under the control of the Waimate County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land allocated to street: 2 roods 29·4 perches.
Railway land, being part D.P. 818 (Sheet 7), being part Rural Section 22167, situated in Block I, Waitaki Survey District, Waimate County. (S.O. 9534.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 16050, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and hereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 16th day of June 1959.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby further amends the Orders in Council specified in the Schedule hereto, authorising the Westland Electric Power Board to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use electric lines, the powers vested or conferred by the said Orders in Council having been delegated to Westland Power Ltd. and the duration of the said Orders in Council having been extended until the 4th day of July 1959 by an Order in Council dated the 24th day of June 1957 and published in the Gazette on the 4th day of July 1957, at page 1251, by further extending the duration of the said Orders in Council until the 4th day of July 1960.

Amending an Order in Council Authorising the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board to Erect and Use Electric Lines

At the Government House at Wellington this 17th day of June 1959
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 8th day of August 1951 and published in the Gazette on the 9th day of the same month at page 1152, authorising the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board to erect and use electric lines, by deleting clause 3 thereof and substituting the following clause:
“3. SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY
“The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (h) of regulation 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.”

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Moutere Hills Rural Fire District Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- In this order, unless the context otherwise requires,—
The “Act” means the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955:
The “Committee” means the Moutere Hills Rural Fire Committee constituted by these regulations:
“District” means the Moutere Hills Rural Fire District.
