Leasehold Estate in Land Taken for a Teacher's Residence
in the Township of Arthur's Pass

COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the
land described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her
Majesty the Queen by Montmorency Silas Valentine De
Villiers, of Christchurch, journalist, under and by virtue
of renewable lease No. 70, Volume 700, folio 98, Canterbury
Land Registry, is hereby taken for a teacher’s residence; and
I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and
after the 15th day of June 1959.

SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 21·6 perches, situated in
the Township of Arthur’s Pass, Canterbury R.D., being
Section 70. All Crown lease recorded in register book, Volume
700, folio 98, Canterbury Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 30th day of May 1959.

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a public school;
and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on
and after the 15th day of June 1959.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 2 roods, situated in Block
XI, Waitemata Survey District, Borough of Birkenhead,
Auckland R.D., and being part Lot 9, D.P. 813, being part
Allotment 143, Parish of Takapuna; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159087
(S.O. 41211) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works
at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

the benefit of the right of way appurtenant thereto, created
in memorandum of transfer No. 40684, Gisborne Land Registry,
for a secondary school; and I also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the 15th day of June 1959.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 1 rood 0·9 perches, situated
in the City of Gisborne, Gisborne R.D., and being Lots 3 and
6, D.P. 3940, being part Section 177, Gisborne Suburban.
