NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £25,000, being the first portion of a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act (which said loan is the second issue of the Streets Improvement Loan 1958, of £200,000) for the purpose of the reconstruction and surface sealing of streets, the construction of footpaths and kerbing and channelling, the provision of stormwater drains, and the completion of an asphalt plant, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three over thirty-two parts of a penny (3/32d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on 16 March 1959.

CLUTHA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Clutha County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by Clutha County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Clutha County Council hereby makes a special rate of one-eighth pence (1/8d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Clutha; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Clutha County Council held on the 28th day of April 1959.

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of £28,500 to be known as the Reservoir Loan 1959, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing chlorinating and ancillary plant and a caretaker's house at the new reservoir site, the Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and twelve thousandths of a penny (0·112d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 30 years, or until such loan is fully paid off."
The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 5th day of May 1959.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of £30,000 to be known as the Stormwater Drainage Loan 1959, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing the outlet and part of the channel of Waimataitai Creek, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and twenty-seven thousandths of a penny (0·127d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such loan is fully paid off."
The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 5th day of May 1959.

CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Clifton County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Clifton County Council under the above-mentioned Act for workers' housing, the said Clifton County Council hereby makes a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in and comprising the whole of the County of Clifton; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I certify that the above written is a true and correct copy of a resolution carried by the Clifton County Council at a meeting held on the 8th day of May 1959, and entered at page 56 in the minute book of the Council.

THAMES VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Loan 1959, £250,000
NOTICE is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board held at the Board's offices, Te Aroha, on the 5th day of May 1959, the following resolution was passed:
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Thames Valley Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of principal, interest, and other charges on the Reticulation Loan 1959 of £250,000 authorised to be raised by the Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Thames Valley Electric Power District and extending and improving the supply within that district, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth (1/15) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Thames Valley Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD
SPECIAL ORDER
Loan No. 26, 1959, £2,200,000; First Issue, £1,000,000
THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board, in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944 and its amendments, and in pursuance of the authority conferred on it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve by special resolution, intended to operate as a special order, to borrow the sum of £1,000,000 (one million pounds) as a special loan and to be portion of a special loan to be known as Loan No. 26, 1959, £2,200,000 (two million, two hundred thousand pounds), to be applied for the purpose of meeting costs and expenses and carrying out works incidental to the first stage works of the Manukau Drainage Scheme.
The foregoing special order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 1st day of April 1959. It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star and the New Zealand Herald on the 8th and 22nd days of April 1959, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Board held on the 6th day of May 1959.
The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board was hereto affixed this 6th day of May 1959 in the presence of—
