OAMARU RADIO ELECTRICAL CO. LTD.

NOTICE CALLING FINAL MEETING

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the
matter of Oamaru Radio Electrical Co. Ltd., (in voluntary
liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 281 of the
Companies Act 1955, that a general meeting of the above-
named company will be held at the offices of Messrs Jones
and Stott, 102 Thames Street, Oamaru, on Wednesday, the
27th day of May 1959, at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, for the
purpose of having an account laid before it showing how
the winding up has been conducted and the property of the
company has been disposed of and to receive any explanation
thereof by the liquidator.

Further Business:

To pass the following resolution as an extraordinary
resolution, namely:

“That the books of the company and the liquidator be
retained for a period of six years by the liquidator and then
destroyed.”

NOTE—Every member entitled to vote and attend at the
meeting is entitled to appoint a proxy to attend and vote
instead of him. A proxy need not be a member also.

NOTICE CALLING FINAL MEETING

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter
of the New Zealand Players Co. Ltd. (in voluntary
liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 281 of the
Companies Act 1955, that a general meeting of the above-
named company will be held in the office of the liquidator,
Evening Post Building, Willis Street, Wellington, on Tuesday,
2 June 1959, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose
of having an account laid before it showing how the winding
up has been conducted and the property of the company has
been disposed of and to receive any explanations thereof by
the liquidator.

Further Business:

To consider and, if thought fit, to pass the following
resolution as an extraordinary resolution:

“That the books and papers of the company be held by
the New Zealand Players Theatre Trust Board for the statu-
tory period of five years from the date of this meeting.”

Every member entitled to attend and vote at the meeting
is entitled to appoint a proxy to attend and vote instead of
him. A proxy need not also be a member. Proxies to be used
at the meeting must be lodged with the undersigned at his
office in the Evening Post Building, Willis Street, Wellington,
not later than 3 o’clock on the 1st day of June 1959.

NOTE—The New Zealand Players Co. Ltd. ceased trading
on 31 January 1957 when the New Zealand Players Theatre
Trust Board took over the assets of the company and assumed
responsibilities for its liabilities.

of Square Holdings Ltd., a duly incorporated company
having its registered office at 37 Martin Square in the
City of Wellington and carrying on business as property
owners.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court
of New Zealand dated the 23rd day of April 1959 confirming
the reduction of the capital of the above-named company
from £10,000 to £5,000, and the minute (approved by the
Court) showing with respect to the capital of the company
as altered the several particulars required by the above Act,
were registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 6th day
of May 1959.

Companies Act 1955, that Harry Ferguson of Australia Ltd.,
a company incorporated in England, intends to cease to have
a place of business in New Zealand.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the
Counties Act 1956.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waimairi County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to take for the purposes of road the land described in the
Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that a
plan showing the land proposed to be taken is deposited at
the public office of the said Council at North Road, Papanui,
where it is open for inspection during ordinary office hours.
Any person objecting to the taking of the said land shall set
forth such objection in writing and shall send same within 40
days from the date of the first publication of this notice
addressed to the County Clerk of the Waimairi County Coun-
cil at the office of the said Council.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated in Block VIII of the Christ-
church Survey District, containing 2 acres 1 rood 28 8/10
perches, or thereabouts, being parts of Rural Section 35372,
and parts of the land comprised and described in certificate of
title, Volume 126, folio 109, in the name of William Henry
Cooper, of Christchurch, butcher.

ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Ashburton Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, to make an exten-
sion of George Street, Tinwald, in the Borough of Ashburton;
and for the purposes of such public work the land described
in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is
hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to
be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk
to the said Council, situated in Havelock Street, Ashburton,
and is open for inspection without fee to all persons during
ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land who have any well
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in
writing and send the same within 40 days from the first pub-
lication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council
Chambers, Havelock Street, Ashburton.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Workers' Dwelling Loan 1958, £18,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £18,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the pur-
pose of erecting six workers' dwellings within the County of
Manukau, the said Manukau County Council hereby makes
a special rate of one-ninetieth of a penny (1/90d.) in the pound
(£) on the rateable capital value of all rateable property with-
in the County of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Manukau County Council held on the 28th day of April
1959.
