PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, public notice is hereby given that the zoning and reserving of land section of the district scheme, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, for the City of Palmerston North was approved by the Council, by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 27th day of April 1959, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections allowed.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 25th day of May 1959.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council's office and in every public library in the district and may be inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

FOXTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Foxton, taken on the 30th day of April 1959, on the proposal of the Foxton Borough Council to borrow the sum of five thousand pounds (£5,000) for the purpose of erecting pensioners' flats:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 192
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 43
The number of informal votes was 5

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

An Act to provide for the amendment of the rules of societies which are members of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children (Incorporated).

NOTICE is hereby given that the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children (Incorporated) (commonly known as the Plunket Society) intends to apply by petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand at its next session for leave to apply to bring in a private Bill, the short title of which is stated above, in order to effect the following objects:

To provide for the amendment of the rules of societies, which are members of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children (Incorporated), by resolution passed by a three-fifths majority at a general, interim, or special conference of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children (Incorporated) and various matters incidental thereto.

The promoter of the Bill is the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children (Incorporated) whose address for the service of communications or notices is at the offices of Messrs Cook, Allan, and Cook, Solicitors, 25 Crawford Street, Dunedin.

Copies of the Bill may be inspected at the office of the promoter at 453 George Street, Dunedin, or at the offices of its solicitors, Messrs Cook, Allan, and Cook, 25 Crawford Street, Dunedin C. 1.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.

Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C. 1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

GOVERNMENT PUBLICATIONS

The following publications are obtainable from the Government Printer, at Wellington and Christchurch or through the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

Free Postage: All Publications sold by the Department are now post free—except that when trade discount is allowed, postage or freight is payable by the purchaser.
