Declaring Land in the Taranaki Acclimatisation District
to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge in the Taranaki Acclimatisation District for the purpose of the Wildlife Act 1953.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICTโCLIFTON COUNTY
PARTS Section 9 and Section 78, Urenui District (Block VIII, Waitara Survey District), and being more particularly shown on D.P. 3809: Area, 222 acres 1 rood 12 perches, more or less. All certificates of title, Volume 16, folio 285, and Volume 97, folio 52 (Taranaki Registry).
As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked I.A. 52/483 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 7th day of May 1959.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 4th day of May 1959

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a burial ground for the descendants of Wi Parata.

The Rotorua High School Board of Governors Order 1959

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 4th day of May 1959
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Rotorua High School Board of Governors Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1959.
- The constitution of the Board of Governors of Rotorua High School, prescribed by the Rotorua High School Board of Governors Order 1957,* is hereby varied so that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in section 90 of the Education Act 1914, the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the South Auckland Education Board:
(b) Six members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school:
(c) One member appointed by the Governor-General:
(d) One member appointed by the Rotorua Borough Council:
(e) One member appointed by the Rotorua County Council:
(f) One member co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.
- The Rotorua High School Board of Governors Order 1957* is hereby revoked.

PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Tokoroa High School Board of Governors Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1959.
- The constitution of the Board of Governors of Tokoroa High School, prescribed by the Tokoroa High School Board of Governors Order 1956,* is hereby varied so that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in section 90 of the Education Act 1914, the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the South Auckland Education Board:
(b) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school:
(c) One member appointed by the Governor-General:
(d) One member appointed by the Matamata County Council:
(e) Two members elected by the members of the school committees of the Tokoroa Central Public School, the Tokoroa East Public School, the Matarawa Public School, and the Amisfield Public School:
(f) One member co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.

The Minister of Education may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of schools to which paragraph (e) of clause 2 of this order applies.

The Tokoroa High School Board of Governors Order 1956* is hereby revoked.

PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
(1) This order may be cited as the Mana College Board of Governors Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1959.
- The constitution of the Board of Governors of Mana College, prescribed by the Porirua Post-primary School Board of Governors Order 1956,* is hereby varied so that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in section 90 of the Education Act 1914, the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Wellington Education Board:
(b) Four members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school:
(c) One member appointed by the Governor-General:
(d) One member appointed jointly by the Hutt County Council, the Tawa Borough Council, and the Makara County Council:
(e) Three members elected by the Mana Educational Association.

The Minister of Education may, on the recommendation of the Board from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of local bodies to which paragraph (d) of clause 2 of this order applies.

The Porirua Post-primary School Board of Governors Order 1956* is hereby revoked.
