Authorising the Laying Off of Woodstock Place in the City
of Palmerston North, Subject to Conditions as to the
Building Line

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 27th day of
April 1959
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Palmerston North City Council to permit the laying
off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto
at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft, but not
less than 40 ft, subject to the condition that no building or
part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 17
and 18 of a subdivision of the land adjoining the said
street (as shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 158660 referred
to in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of 28 ft from
the centre line of the said street, or on Lots 12 and 14 of
the said subdivision within a distance of 35 ft from the
centre line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
THAT proposed street in the City of Palmerston North, con-
taining by admeasurement 1 rood 6Β·25 perches, more or less,
being part Hokowhitu No. 2, and being also Lot 28, L.T.
Plan 20803; as the same is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked P.W.D. 158660 deposited in the office of the
Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Wellington City Council to permit the laying off of the
proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width
for part of its length of less than 66 ft, but not less than 40 ft,
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the said
street within a distance of 33 ft from the centre line of the
said street.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
THAT proposed street in the City of Wellington, Wellington
R.D., containing 2 roods 1 perch, being part of the land on
plan No. A/2649, being part Section 2, Upper Kaiwharawhara
District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 158557 deposited in the office of the
Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

of the Public Works Act 1928, Subject to a Condition as
to the Building Line

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 27th day of
April 1959

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
approves of the resolution passed by the Auckland City
Council on the 9th day of March 1959, and set out in the First
Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion
of street described in the Second Schedule hereto, subject
to the condition that no building or part of a building shall
at any time be erected on the land fronting the eastern side
of portion of Federal Street (described in the Second Schedule
hereto) within a distance of 27 ft from the centre line of
the said portion of street.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Auckland City Council being the local authority having
control of the streets in the City of Auckland, by resolution
declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public
Works Act 1928 shall not apply to part of the eastern side of
Federal Street fronting part of Allotment 5, Section 22, City
of Auckland, and part Lot 5, D.P. 2727, being Allotment 4
and part Allotment 3, Section 22, City of Auckland, all
certificates of title, Volume 189, folio 23, and Volume 525,
folio 179, and more particularly shown coloured red on Plan
A. 2503/2.
SECOND SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
THE eastern side of all that portion of Federal Street in the
City of Auckland, fronting part Allotment 5 and part Lot 5,
D.P. 2727, being Allotment 4 and part Allotment 3, Section 22,
City of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 158670 deposited in the office
of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
red.

Borough of Waimate, Exempted From the Provisions of

PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves
of the resolution passed by the Waimate Borough Council on
the 23rd day of September 1958, and set out in the First
Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portions
of street described in the Second Schedule hereto, subject
to the condition that no building or part of a building shall
at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-western
side of those portions of Hughes Street described in the
Second Schedule hereto within a distance of 10 ft 6 in. from
the existing side line of the said street.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Waimate Borough Council, being the local authority
having control of the streets in the Borough of Waimate, by
resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the
Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the north-western
side of that portion of Hughes Street adjoining firstly, Lots 14
and 15, D.P. 208, being all the land in certificate of title,
Volume 36, folio 222, and secondly, Lots 17 and 18, D.P. 208,
being all the land in certificate of title, Volume 59, folio 150,
Canterbury Land Registry.
SECOND SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
THE north-western side of all those portions of Hughes Street,
situated in the Borough of Waimate, fronting Lots 14, 15, 17,
and 18, D.P. 208, being parts Rural Section 7494; as the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
158527 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 22nd day of
April 1959
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart
the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as
a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for
the common use and benefit of the members of the Rangitane
Tribe.
