PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby grants to William George Gorton Cuddon, of Blenheim, engineer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to take and use from an unnamed stream (hereinafter referred to as the said stream), situated in Section 35, Block XII, Gore Survey District, in the County of Sounds, for the purpose hereinafter set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 0·5 cubic feet per second at any one time.

CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water Power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
- This licence is issued under the Water Power Regulations 1934, and is subject thereto, and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and to all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
UTILISATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
- Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity and shall be taken from the said stream at a point in Section 35, Block XII, Gore Survey District, indicated on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 513 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
- The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan N.Z.E.D. 513:
(a) Headworks, consisting of an intake with a pipeline leading to the powerhouse hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 140 ft.
(b) Pelton wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in Section 35, Block XII, Gore Survey District.
(c) Tail race leading from the said powerhouse back to the said stream.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
- The system of supply shall be alternating-current system as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
DURATION OF LICENCE
- Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1980.
RENTAL
- For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this licence the present plant is rated at 0·8 kVA.
NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED
- Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the licensee any right to water.

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Wedderburn Rabbit District Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- The boundaries of the Wedderburn Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 2nd day of February 1949,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

BOUNDARIES OF THE WEDDERBURN RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District and Maniototo County, containing 99,900 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Trig. I, Mount Ida; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Run 306A, Idaburn and Naseby Survey Districts, to the northern corner of Run 306; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of Run 306 aforesaid to the Wedderburn-Naseby Plantation Road; thence generally north-easterly along the southern side of that road to the western boundary of Section 17, Block VI, Naseby Survey District; thence southerly and easterly along the western and southern boundaries of said Section 17 and Section 9 to the north-eastern corner of Section 19, Block VI, aforesaid; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of that Section 19 to and across the Gimmerburn-Naseby Road to the western side of the Ranfurly-Naseby Road; thence southerly along that roadside to and south-easterly along the road on the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 9, 20, 36, 27, 41, 28, and 31, Block II, Maniototo Survey District, to the Palmerton-Clyde Main Highway; thence easterly along that highway to the Waipiata-Naseby Road; thence generally southerly along the Waipiata-Naseby Road to and along the road on the eastern boundaries of Sections 29, 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35, Town of Komako, to the north-eastern corner of Section 4, Block XI, Maniototo Survey District; thence generally southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 4 aforesaid, and due south to the Taieri River; thence generally south-westerly up the centre of that river to a point in line with the road forming the southern boundaries of Sections 25, 26, 27, and 28, Block VI, Gimmerburn Survey District, and Section 2, Block XII, Gimmerburn Survey District; thence westerly to and along that road to the western boundary of Section 2 aforesaid; thence northerly along that boundary to Gibson Road; thence south-westerly along that road to the northern boundary of Section 6, Block XII, Gimmerburn Survey District; thence westerly along that boundary to the Puketoi-Highfield Road; thence northerly along that road to the south-eastern corner of Section 17, Block III, Gimmerburn Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Section 17 aforesaid, and Section 16, Block III, Gimmerburn Survey District; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Section 16 aforesaid, Sections 15, 14, 13, 11, and 9, Block III, to the southern boundary of Section 15, Block I, Gimmerburn Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Section 15 aforesaid, Section 1 and Run 225Y, Block X, Gimmerburn Survey District, to the Highfield Runs Road; thence south-westerly along that road to the north-western boundary of Block X, Gimmerburn Survey District; thence north-easterly along that boundary and the north-western boundaries of Blocks IX and VIII, Gimmerburn Survey District, and Blocks XII and X, Naseby Survey District, to the north-western boundary of Run 306A, Idaburn Survey District; thence generally north-easterly along that boundary to Trig. I, Mount Ida, the point of commencement.
