Te Pahu Stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Allotment 129; thence south-easterly along a right line across that public road to and along the south-western boundary of Allotment 129 crossing the intervening public road to the southernmost corner of that allotment; thence southerly along a right line across the said road to and along the western side of Strongs Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 125A; thence along another right line across Strongs Road to and along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of that allotment, the north-western boundary of part Allotment 120, and the southern side of a public road forming the generally northern boundaries of the said part Allotment 120, Allotment 451, and another part Allotment 120 to a point on the south-western side of Horotiu - Whatawhata - Te Rore Main Highway No. 521, in line with the north-western boundary of Allotment 205; thence along a right line across that highway to and along the said boundary, the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 35898, and its production to and down the middle of Rangitukia and Mangaone Streams to a point in line with the generally southern boundary of Allotment 248; thence easterly generally along a right line to and along the said southern boundary to the western side of a public road; thence along a right line diagonally across that road to and along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Allotment 262, the south-western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 18735, and its production across a public road to and again easterly along the southern side of that road forming the north-western boundaries of Allotments 258, 259, 260, and 254 to the point of commencement, all the aforesaid allotments being of the Parish of Pirongia.

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Kawhia Rabbit District Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- The boundaries of the Kawhia Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 24th day of September 1947,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE KAWHIA RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Counties of Otorohanga and Raglan, containing 131,300 acres, more or less, commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 27, Block XIV, Karioi Survey District, on the southern side of Te Mata Road and proceeding easterly generally along the western and southern boundaries of Sections 27 and 19, Block XIV aforesaid, and the production of the southern boundary of the said Section 19 across Makomako Road and Makomako Stream, to and along the generally southern boundaries of Lot 2 of Section 18, Block XIV aforesaid, and Lot 2 of Section 7, Block XV, Karioi Survey District, to and along the generally northern boundary of the County of Otorohanga, as described in Gazette, 1956, page 421, to Trig. Station 1922 (Mahaukura) in Block III, Pirongia Survey District; thence southerly generally along the aforesaid county boundary and the north-western boundary of Mangaui ka A 1 to its westernmost corner (Trig. Station A); thence again southerly along a right line crossing a permanent State forest, as described in Gazette, 1935, page 581, Section 15, Section 4, and Ngutunui Road to the easternmost corner of Section 17; thence along the south-eastern boundary of Section 17 to and along the south-western boundaries of Sections 4 and 6 crossing the intervening Ngutunui Road, along the south-western end of a public road, the south-western boundary of Section 12, all the aforesaid sections being of Block VI, Pirongia Survey District, the north-western and south-western boundaries of Section 22, Block X, Pirongia Survey District, and the south-western boundary of Waiwhakaata 3E 4E 2 to and along the north-western boundary of Waiwhakaata 3E 2, Section 3A, and its production to and easterly along the middle of Ngutunui Road to a point in line with the western boundary of Waihakaata A 3; thence southerly along a right line to and along that western boundary to and along the northern and western boundaries of Section 17 and the western boundary of Section 19, both sections being of Block X aforesaid, to and along the right bank of the Ngutunui Stream, the left bank of the Moakurarua Stream, the
middle of the Mangatiti Stream to and westerly generally along the northern boundary of the County of Waitomo, as described in Gazette, 1956, page 423, to the southern boundary of Block XIV, Kawhia North Survey District; thence easterly along that block boundary to the right bank of the Waiharakeke Stream; thence north-easterly generally along that right bank and the generally south-eastern and northern shores of the Kawhia Harbour, the shores of the Tasman Sea, and the southern and eastern shores of the Aotea Harbour to and along the southern side of Te Mata Road to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
LICENCE

This order may be cited as the North Canterbury Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1959.

Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the licensee) is hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines and to construct the electric works described in the Schedule hereto.

The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence:
Provided that the licensee shall not by virtue of this clause be required, except in the normal course of alteration, repair, or maintenance, to reconstruct in conformity with the regulations hereinbefore mentioned any existing electric line or work which conformed to the regulations in force at the time of the construction thereof, and has not become a hazardous line as described in the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (h), of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 22nd day of May 1970.

The Order in Council dated the 22nd day of July 1953, and published in the Gazette on the 23rd day of the same month at page 1178, authorising the licensee to erect and use electric lines and to construct electric works is hereby revoked.

Lines and works for the transmission and supply of electrical energy within the outer area as at present constituted of the North Canterbury Electric Power District.

A line with all necessary works for the transmission of electrical energy situated in the Kaikoura County commencing at a point in Section 24, Block VI, Hundalee Survey District, on the right bank of the Kahutara River, being the boundary of the North Canterbury Electric Power District, and leading in a north-easterly direction by a route generally adjacent to the South Island Main Trunk Railway to a sub-station to be constructed by the licensee in the Kaikoura Township in Section 31, Block X, Mount Fyffe Survey District, the said line being shown by means of a blue line on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 509 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
