PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Clifton Rabbit District Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- The boundaries of the Clifton Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 24th day of August 1954,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE CLIFTON RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Clutha County, and the Borough of Balclutha, containing 45,000 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Pomahaka and Clutha Rivers; thence generally north-westerly up the centre of the Pomahaka River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 56, D.P. 1963; thence generally south-westerly to and along that boundary and the southern boundary of Lot 55, D.P. 1963, the south-eastern boundaries of Section 61, Block X, and Sections 33 and 32, Block XI, Pomahaka Survey District, to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 30; thence southerly to and along that boundary and easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 11, Block XI, Pomahaka Survey District, to Old Lake Road; thence generally south-easterly along Old Lake Road to its junction with Ashley Downs Road; thence south-westerly to and along a road intersecting Section 61, Block VII, Pomahaka Survey District, and its production to the Waiwera River; thence generally easterly down the centre of the Waiwera River to the Dunedin-Gore State Highway; thence generally south-easterly along the southern boundary of that highway to the south-western boundary of the Borough of Balclutha; thence generally south-easterly along that boundary, as described in Gazette, 1955, page 1093, to the Koau Branch of the Clutha River; thence generally easterly up the centre of the Koau Branch to and generally north-westerly up the centre of the Clutha River to the confluence of the Pomahaka River, the point of commencement. Including Totara Island but excluding Manuka Island.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

The areas described in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the County of Makara and included in the City of Wellington.

The alteration of boundaries of the said county and the said city hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE
AREAS EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF MAKARA AND INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF WELLINGTON
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing 10 acres 3 roods, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of Ironside Road (formerly Wakefield Road) on the half-angle opposite Lot 54, D.P. 8756, the said point being on the boundary of the City of Wellington as described in Gazette, 1955, at page 695; thence north-easterly along a right line to the road angle on the south-western boundary of the said Lot 54; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of Lots 54, 53, 52, and 51, D.P. 8756, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 51 aforesaid, the western and northern boundaries of Lot 67, the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 65, the north-eastern boundary of Lot 67 and the north-western boundary of Lot 19, all as shown on D.P. 8756, to the south-western side of Ohariu Road, being a point on the boundary of the City of Wellington aforesaid; thence south-easterly, south-westerly, and north-westerly generally along the said boundary to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Wellington Land District containing 395 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the eastern side of the Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway and the northern boundary of Section 6, Paparangi Settlement; thence easterly along the northern boundary of that section and its production across the motorway to the eastern side of the motorway; thence northerly along its eastern side to the northern boundary of Section 22, Paparangi Settlement; thence easterly along that boundary and the northern boundary of Section 23, Paparangi Settlement, to the north-eastern corner of that section; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of that section and of Sections 24 and 38, Paparangi Settlement, to the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 15269; thence south-easterly generally along that boundary and the generally eastern boundaries of that lot to the western side of Horokiwi Road; thence south-westerly along that side of Horokiwi Road to the easternmost corner of Lot 6, D.P. 15488; thence southerly along a right line across Horokiwi Road to the northernmost corner of Lot 11, D.P. 15268, along the eastern boundary of that lot, the northern boundary of Lot 17, the eastern boundaries of Lots 17, 18, and 19 all as shown on D.P. 15268, a right line to the northern corner of Section 14, Harbour District, along the north-eastern boundary of that section for a distance of approximately 8 chains, along a right line bearing 232½° distance 6 chains approximately, along a right line bearing 162½° distance 9 chains approximately, along a right line bearing 235½° distance 13 chains approximately to the south-western boundary of Section 14 aforesaid, along a right line to the northern corner of Lot 12, D.P. 15078, along the north-western boundary of that lot, the south-western boundaries of Lots 12 and 13, D.P. 15078, to and along the north-western and western boundaries of Lot 15, D.P. 15078, the western boundaries of Lots 17 and 18, D.P. 15078, the north-western boundaries of Lots 19 and 20, D.P. 15078, and their production to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 2205, along that boundary and the north-western boundaries of Lots 8 and 7, D.P. 2205, to and along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Lot 14, D.P. 2601, to the easternmost corner of Lot 17, D.P. 2601, being a point on the boundary of the City of Wellington as described in Gazette, 1955, at page 695; thence northerly generally along that boundary to the western side of Bassett Road, being also a point on the southern boundary of Section 3, Hawtrey Settlement; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of that road to the road angle west of Peg IX as shown on S.O. Plan 14134; thence south-easterly across that road to the opposite angle, being the north-western corner of Section 8, Paparangi Settlement; thence northerly along the eastern side of the Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway to its intersection with the northern boundary of Section 6, Paparangi Settlement, being the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Wellington Land District containing 1 acre 2 roods, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of Lot 31, D.P. 14541, being a point on the boundary of the City of Wellington, as described in Gazette, 1955, at page 695; thence southerly along the western boundary of Lot 38, D.P. 14838, to its south-western corner; thence north-easterly generally along the southern boundaries of Lots 38, 39, 40, 41, and 42, D.P. 14838, the southern and eastern boundaries of Lot 43, D.P. 14838, to and along the south-western side and the abutment of Black Rock Road, to and along the south-western, south-eastern, and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 25, D.P. 14838, the north-eastern boundary of Lot 24, D.P. 14838, to its intersection with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 17, D.P. 2601, being a point on the boundary of the City of Wellington aforesaid; thence south-westerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 2 acres 1 rood, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-western boundary of Lot 15, D.P. 16648, and a right line from the south-eastern corner of the land as shown on D.P. 10465, to a point on the western side of Wakefield Gully Road bearing 310° 54′ 30″ distant 116·62 links from Peg VI as shown on D.P. 3010, the said intersection being a point on the boundary of the City of Wellington as described in Gazette, 1955, at page 695; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Lot 15 aforesaid, across part Lot 4, D.P. 3010, and along the south-western boundaries of Lots 17, 18, and 19, D.P. 16648, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence easterly along the southern boundaries of Lots 19 and 20, D.P. 16648, to and along the generally north-western side of Wakefield Gully Road, to a point bearing 310° 54′ 30″ distant 116·62 links from Peg VI as shown on D.P. 3010, being a point on the boundary of the City of Wellington described as aforesaid; thence westerly along the said boundary of the City of Wellington, to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 2 acres 1 rood 00·45 perches, more or less, bounded by
