Revoking Part of a Proclamation Taking Land for the Purposes of Part II of the Housing Improvement Act 1945 in the City of Wellington

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 19th day of November 1957, published in Gazette, 28 November 1957, Volume III, page 2213, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 5927, taking land for the purposes of Part II of the Housing Improvement Act 1945 in the City of Wellington, in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, the land being no longer required.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 14·3 perches, situated in the City of Wellington, Wellington R.D., being Lot 1, D.P. 770, being part Section 738, City of Wellington. All certificate of title, Volume 179, folio 125, Wellington Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 13th day of March 1959.

Altering the Boundaries of the Bay of Plenty Electric Power District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the Bay of Plenty Electric Power District by including therein the areas described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules hereto, the boundaries as so altered being described in the Fourth Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that part of the Borough of Kawerau not already included in the Bay of Plenty Electric Power District.

SECOND SCHEDULE

THE Town District of Murupara.

THIRD SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Counties of Tauranga and Rotorua, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the western boundary of the Whakatane County with the northern boundary of Block XI, Waihi South Survey District, and proceeding southerly along that county boundary, as described in Gazette, 1957, page 808, to and westerly along the southern boundaries of Blocks VII and VI, Rotorua Survey District, to and along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of Section 5, Block VI aforesaid, and continuing along the shores of Lake Rotorua, to and along the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of part Rotoiti, No. 10 Block, to and along the generally south-western side of Pongakawa Valley Road, to the northernmost corner of Section 8, Block VI aforesaid; thence along a right line across that road to and along the eastern boundary of State forest, set apart by Gazette, 1938, page 1687 (formerly Hannons’ Road), to and along the north-western boundaries of Sections 2 and 1A, Block II, Rotorua Survey District aforesaid, to and down the middle of the Waitahanui Stream, to and easterly along the northern boundary of Blocks X and XI, Waihi South Survey District, to the point of commencement.

As the said area is shown outlined in orange on the plan marked S.H.D. 496 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

FOURTH SCHEDULE

BAY OF PLENTY ELECTRIC POWER DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Tauranga, Rotorua, Whakatane, and Opotiki Counties, the Boroughs of Kawerau and Opotiki, and the Town District of Murupara, in the South Auckland and Gisborne Land Districts, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block IV, Waihi South Survey District, being the intersection of the western boundary of the Whakatane County, as described in Gazette, No. 37, of the 9th day of May 1957, page 808, with the shores of the Bay of Plenty, and running generally easterly along those shores to the north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 6827 (Ak.), being part Awaawakino B Block, situated in Block I, Waiaua Survey District; thence southerly and south-easterly along the western and south-western boundaries of the said Lot 1, to and across the Opotiki-Te Araroa State Highway No. 45, and again south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 1 and of Lot 2, D.P. 6827 (Ak.), to the northernmost corner of Opape No. 10 Block, situated in Block VI, Waiaua Survey District; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of the said Opape No. 10 Block, to and across a public road, the Opotiki-Matawai via Motu Main Highway No. 566, and the Waiaua Stream, to the north-eastern boundary of Section 3, Block X, Waiaua Survey District; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 3, to and across the Waiaua Stream and the Opotiki-Matawai via Motu Main Highway No. 566, to and along the north-eastern boundary of a scenic reserve, to and across the said main highway and the Waiaua Stream, again along the north-eastern boundaries of the said Section 3 and of Sections 9 and 7, Block IX, Waiaua Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the said Section 7; thence south-westerly, southerly, and south-easterly, along the north-western, western, and south-western boundaries of the said Section 7 to a public road; thence westerly along the northern side of the said public road to the western boundary of Section 1, Block IX, Waiaua Survey District; thence southerly along the western boundary of the said Section 1 to the north-eastern corner of Section 2, Block IX, Waiaua Survey District; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said Section 2, to and across a public road, along the northern side of the said public road, again across the said public road and again along the northern boundary of the said Section 2 to its intersection with a public road; thence across the said public road to its northern side at the intersection point with another public road; thence westerly along the northern side of the last-mentioned public road to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Section 2, Block XIII, Waiaua Survey District; thence to and along the northern boundary of part Section 2 aforesaid, and southerly generally along the western boundaries of the said part section 2 and of Section 3, Block XIII, produced to the middle of the Pakihi Stream; thence westerly generally down the middle of the said Pakihi Stream to and down the middle of the Otara River to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 8, Block XII, Opotiki Survey District; thence along a right line to and across a public road to and along the northern boundaries of the said Section 8, and of Section 6, Block XII, along the eastern and northern boundaries of the said Section 6 and of Section 2, Block XI, Opotiki Survey District, produced across a public road to and down the middle of the Tutaetoko Stream, to a point in line with the northern boundary of the said Section 2; thence along a right line to and across a public road, to and along the said northern boundary of Section 2, the northern boundaries of Section 4, Block XI, Opotiki Survey District, and Allotment 372, Waioeka Parish, to the Whakatane-Gisborne via Waioeka State Highway No. 20, and along the eastern side of the said State highway to the eastern boundary of subdivision B3 of Allotment 337, Waioeka Parish; thence along the said eastern boundary of subdivision B3, produced across the last-mentioned State highway and the Waioeka River, to and along the north-western and northern boundaries of Allotments 459, 481, 487, and 484, Waiotahi Parish, to the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block X, Opotiki Survey District; thence along the eastern boundary of the said Section 2, to and across a public road and along the eastern side of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of the said Section 2; thence along a right line across the said public road to and along the northern boundary of the said Section 2 to its north-western corner; thence southerly generally along the western boundary of the said Section 2 to its intersection with a public road; thence across the said public road and along its western side to the northern boundary of Tahoma No. 2 B2 B2 Block, situated in Block II, Waioeka Survey District; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of the said Tahoma No. 2 B2 B2 Block, of a provisional State forest and of Tahoma No. 2A 3B Block, to and across a public road and the Waiotahi River, to and along the northern boundaries of a river-bank reserve, of Section 4, Block I, Waioeka Survey District, and of Section 2, Block IV, Waimana Survey District, to its north-western corner; thence generally southerly, south-westerly, and northerly, along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of the Whakatane County, as described in Gazette, No. 37, of the 9th day of May 1957, page 808, to and easterly down the middle of the Ngatamawahine Stream, to a point in line with the eastern boundary of the land uplifted from State forest by, and fourteenthly described in subsection 2 of Section 29 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1953, and shown on S.O. Plan 35574; thence along a right line to and along the eastern and northern boundaries of that land, to and along the south-eastern boundary of Pokohu C No. 1 Block, to the easternmost corner of that C No. 1 Block; thence along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Block XV, Ruawahia Survey District, and along another right line to the intersection of the southern boundary of Block VII, Ruawahia Survey District, with the western boundary of the Whakatane County aforesaid; thence still northerly along the western boundary, to and along the southern boundaries of Block VII and Block VI, Rotorua Survey District, to and along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of Section 5, Block VI aforesaid, and continuing along the shores of Lake Rotorua, to and along the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of part Rotoiti No. 10 Block, to and along the generally south-western side of Pongakawa Valley Road to the northernmost corner of Section 8, Block VI aforesaid; thence along a right line across that road to and along the eastern boundary of the State forest set apart by Gazette 1938, page 1687 (formerly Hannons’ Road), to and along the north-western boundaries of Sections 2 and 1A, Block II, Rotorua Survey District aforesaid, to and down the middle of the Waitahanui Stream,
