NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, that the Whangarei County Council proposes under the provisions of the said Act, to take the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto for road, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the pieces of land required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said Council, situated in Rose Street, Whangarei, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the taking of the said lands must lodge their objections in writing and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk, Whangarei County Council, Rose Street, Whangarei.

BOROUGH OF NEW LYNN
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the New Lynn Borough Council proposes, pursuant to section 47 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the proper development and use of the said land for commercial purposes in accordance with the operative district scheme under the said Act; and to provide amenities in the neighbourhood and in particular to provide amenities and access for the better use and enjoyment of the community centre block contemplated by the said scheme.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the New Lynn Borough Council at 70 Great North Road, New Lynn, and is open to inspection without fee by all persons during the office hours of the said Council.
All persons affected by the execution of such works or by the taking of the said land who have any well grounded objections thereto must set forth such objections in writing and send such writing within forty days from the 6th day of February 1958 to the New Lynn Borough Council at 70 Great North Road, New Lynn, Auckland S.W. 4.

All that piece of land situated in the Borough of New Lynn containing three roods twenty-four decimal one perches (3r. 24·1p.), more or less, being part of Allotment 257 of the Parish of Waikomiti, and part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 599, folio 150 (Auckland Registry); and as the same is more particularly delineated coloured yellow on Survey Office Plan Number 39793.

All that piece of land situated in the Borough of New Lynn containing one acre one rood thirty-two decimal four perches (1a. 1r. 32·4p.), more or less, being part of Allotment 257 of the Parish of Waikomiti, and part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 599, folio 150 (Auckland Registry); and as the same is more particularly delineated coloured yellow on Survey Office Plan Number 34571.

WAIAPU COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waiapu County Council, acting under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Counties Act 1920, proposes to execute certain public works namely, to take land for road, and for the purposes of such work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
Notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands required for such public works are deposited in the office of the Waiapu County Council at Te Puia and at the offices of Messrs Nolan and Skeet, Solicitors, Childers Road, Gisborne, and are open for inspection by all persons during office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of such public works who have any well founded ground of objection thereto must state their objection in writing and deliver same to the Clerk of the Waiapu County Council at Te Puia within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.
SCHEDULE
(1) 3 roods 18·5 perches, being part Lot 2, D.P. 3696, part Pakira Block; and
(2) 30·8 perches, being part Poropora 1b Block.
The above-mentioned lands are situated in Block XI, Mangaopora Survey District, in the County of Waiapu, Gisborne Land Registration District, and the plan referred to is deposited in the Survey Office at Gisborne.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL
SECURITY RATE
Water Supply Extension Loan No. 3 1957, £57,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £57,000, authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the Council’s high pressure water supply system, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·075622d. (pence) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special rating area comprising the whole of the Middleton Riding of the County, and the lands within the following area of the County: Commencing on Yaldhurst Road at the Middleton Riding boundary, along Yaldhurst Road to Russley Road; thence north along Russley Road to Memorial Avenue, east along Memorial Avenue to Wooldridge Road; thence in a northerly direction along Wooldridge Road to Harewood Road; thence east along Harewood Road to Crofton Street, north along Crofton Street to Sawyers Arms Road; thence in an easterly direction along Sawyers Arms Road to Highested Road, along Highested Road in a northerly direction to Claridges Road, east along Claridges Road to Grampian Road; thence in a north-easterly direction along Grampian Road to Cavendish Road, north along Cavendish Road to Styx Mill Road; thence east along Styx Mill Road to its junction with the Main North Road, from this point continuing in an easterly direction to Farquhars Road, along Farquhars Road to Grimseys Road; thence south along Grimseys Road to Winters Road, along Winters Road in a westerly direction to the City boundary, along the City boundary in a westerly direction to Ilam Road; thence in a westerly direction along Ilam Road to the Middleton Riding boundary on Ilam Road; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year, during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Sewer Loan 1957 of £131,600
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 its amendments and any other powers thereunto it enabling, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £131,600, authorised to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the construction of sewer drains and drainage works within the City of Hamilton, including the purchase of any necessary land, materials, plant, and tools; all payments for labour; engineers fees for plans, specifications, and supervision; and for compensation to the owners of property in respect of such works, and other incidental expenses including the costs of raising the loan, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a
