RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Stokes Valley Water and Sewerage Loan 1957, £148,200
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of one hundred and forty-eight thousand
two hundred pounds (£148,200) authorised to be raised by
the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of completing the installation of a water and
sewerage reticulation scheme for Stokes Valley, the said Lower
Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one and four hundred and one thousandths of a penny
(1·401d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the
basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the
City of Lower Hutt and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each
and every year during the currency of such loan being a
period of 35 years or until the loan is paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Wellington City Electricity Loan No. 2 1957 of £525,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Wellington City Council held on the 3rd day of February
1958.
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
the loan of five hundred and twenty-five thousand pounds
(£525,000) to be known as the Wellington City Electricity
Loan No. 2 1957, authorised to be raised by the Wellington
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of extending the Council’s bulk supply of electricity the
Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of two
hundred and fifty/eight hundredths of a penny (250/800d.) in
the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unim-
proved value) of all rateable property within the City of
Wellington and that the said special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and shall
be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of the said loan, being a period not
exceeding twenty (20) years, or until the said loan is fully
paid off.”

KAIAPOI BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Kaiapoi
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of eight thousand two hundred pounds
(£8,200), authorised to be raised by the Kaiapoi Borough Coun-
cil under the above-mentioned Act for the Kaiapoi Pensioners’
Housing Loan 1957 works, the said Kaiapoi Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixty-eight thousand
six hundred and seventy-three/one hundred thousandths of a
penny (68673/100000d.) in the pound (£) of capital value
on all rateable property of the Borough of Kaiapoi; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate dur-
ing the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly
on the 30th day of September and the 31st day of March
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
properly constituted meeting of the Kaiapoi Borough Council
held on Monday, the 19th day of August 1957.

TE AWAMUTU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby resolves that, for the
purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4000
authorised to be raised by the said Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the erection of four pensioners’ flats, the
said Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby makes a special
rate of 0·1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all
rateable property of the Borough of Te Awamutu, comprising
the whole of the Borough of Te Awamutu, and that the
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day
of October in each year and every year during the currency
of the loan being a period of twenty-five years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of seven thousand pounds (£7,000) author-
ised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing sewerage
and drainage works in connection with the reclamation of
land near Seaview, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of seventy-thousandths of a
penny (0·070d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on
the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the
City of Lower Hutt and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each
and every year during the currency of such loan being a period
of 30 years or until the loan is paid off.”

THE RELIGIOUS CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL
TRUSTS ACT 1908
NOTICE
IN the matter of the Will of Elizabeth Harris Boon late of
Blenheim, spinster, deceased and in the matter of an origin-
ating summons issued in the Supreme Court of New Zealand
at Blenheim by the New Zealand Insurance Co. Ltd. against
the Attorney-General, the Blinded Servicemen’s Trust Board,
the Disabled Servicemen’s Re-establishment League (Incor-
porated), and the New Zealand War Amputees Association
(Incorporated) for an order construing the words in the
Will, viz.: “to pay the net proceeds at its discretion to any
institution or body having for its object the care or main-
tenance or otherwise for the benefit of any crippled or maimed
or incapacitated soldiers of the present war” and for certain
other orders including an order approving a scheme under
the cy-pres doctrine or under Part III of the above Act
prepared by the said trustee company whereby the balance
of the estate be divided among the three defendant institutions
in equal shares.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 18 of the above
Act that the said originating summons will be heard by the
Supreme Court at Blenheim at the sittings commencing on the
25th day of February 1958, at 10.30 a.m. A copy of the
said scheme has been deposited in and may be inspected at
the Registry Office of the said Court at Blenheim. Any person
desiring to object to the said scheme should give written
notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar of the said
Court and to the trustee company or its solicitors (men-
tioned below), and to the Attorney-General, care of the
Crown Law Office, Wellington, not later than the 21st day of
February 1958.
