The Redcliff Rabbit District Order 1958

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Redcliff Rabbit District Order 1958.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Redcliff Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 2nd day of February 1944,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE REDCLIFF RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the County of Waimate and the Borough of Waimate, Canterbury Land District, containing 143,300 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Waitaki River in line with the north-western boundary of Rural Section 37557, Block VI, Elephant Hill Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary to and north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Section 1, Block VI, Elephant Hill Survey District, and Section 1, Block V, Elephant Hill Survey District to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 3452, thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of that Lot 1 and Lot 3, D.P. 3451, to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned lot; thence easterly generally along the road forming the northern boundary of Section 1, Block I, Elephant Hill Survey District and Rural Section 28739, to and along Zig-Zag Road to Buchanans Road; thence south-easterly along Buchanans Road and Serpentine Valley Road to and easterly along the Deep Creek - Kurow via Waimate Main Highway No. 120 to the right bank of the Waihao River; thence south-easterly along the right bank of that river to and along the road passing through Rural Section 17445 and Rural Section 17868 and forming the southern boundary of Rural Section 21854, Block I, Waitaki Survey District; thence northerly along the road forming the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section and the road forming the western boundary of Kapua Settlement to and easterly along Deep Creek - Kurow via Waimate Main Highway No. 120 to the road forming the eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 19341, 18254, 18263, and 19384; thence northerly generally along that road and Parkers Bush Road to Mill Road; thence south-easterly along that road to Hunt Street; thence north-easterly generally along that street, North Bush Road, and the road forming the north-western boundaries of Rural Sections 2120 and 5706 to Whitneys Road; thence north-westerly along that road to Maytown Road; thence easterly generally along that road and Timaru Road to the Timaru-Dunedin State Highway No. 59; thence south-westerly along that highway to a road forming the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2644; thence easterly and south-easterly generally along that road to and along the southern shore of Ki-Wainono Lagoon (R. 3190) and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the sea coast; thence southerly along the sea coast to the middle of the Waitaki River; thence westerly along the middle of the Waitaki River to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Upper Pareora Rabbit District Order 1958.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Upper Pareora Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 16th day of June 1943,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE UPPER PAREORA RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Counties of Waimate, Mackenzie, and Levels, Canterbury Land District, containing 195,200 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in line with a road forming the southern boundary of part Lot 111, D.P. 467, and Lot 1, D.P. 3774, Block IV, Patiti Survey District; thence north-westerly generally to and along that road, the Main South Road and Pareora Main Road to the north-western boundary of Section 4, Pareora No. 1 Settlement; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Sections 4, 3, 2, and 1 of the aforesaid settlement and south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned section to O'Briens Road; thence westerly along that road to and north-easterly along Talbots Road to Pleasant Valley Road; thence westerly generally along Pleasant Valley Road, Cairds Road, Andersons Road, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of part Section 1, Pareora No. 2 Settlement, the northern boundary of Rural Section 38152, Gordons Valley Road and Colliers Road to its junction with Back Road at the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 2313; thence southerly along Back Road to the middle of the Otaio River; thence south-westerly generally along the middle of that river to the northern boundary of Pastoral Run 47A, Block XVI, Nimrod Survey District; thence north-westerly generally along the northern boundary of Pastoral Run 47A and the eastern boundaries of Pastoral Run 44 and Section 10, Mount Nessing Settlement to the summit of Mount Nimrod, being a point on the boundary between Mackenzie and Waimate Counties; thence north-westerly along that county boundary to the Pareora River; thence north-easterly generally along the middle of that river to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 1, Cannington Village Settlement; thence northerly to and along that boundary and easterly generally along the northern boundary of the said Section 1, to and along Burnetts Road to Cave-Pareora Main Highway No. 223 (Cannington Road); thence northerly generally along that main highway to Timaru-Cromwell State Highway No. 60; thence north-easterly and south-easterly generally along that State highway passing through Pleasant Point Township to the Christchurch-Timaru State Highway No. 58; thence southerly along that State highway to the boundary of the City of Timaru; thence south-westerly and south-easterly generally along the boundaries of the City of Timaru to the sea coast; thence south-westerly generally along the sea coast to the point of commencement.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Otaio Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 24th day of November 1943,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE OTAIO RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the County of Waimate, Canterbury Land District, containing 122,280 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in line with the southern shore of Ki-Wainono Lagoon (R. 3190), Block XII, Waimate Survey District; thence westerly and north-westerly generally along the said shore to a road forming the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2644; thence westerly along that road to the Timaru-Dunedin State Highway No. 59; thence northerly along that State highway to Timaru Road; thence south-westerly generally along that road and Maytown Road to Whitneys Road; thence south-easterly along that road to a road forming the north-western boundaries of Rural Sections 5706 and 2120; thence south-westerly generally along that road, North Bush Road, and Hunt Street to Mill Road; thence north-westerly along Mill Road to Parkers Bush Road; thence south-westerly generally along that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 19384; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Rural Section 27498 to the north-eastern boundary of Run 249; thence north-westerly generally along that boundary to
