Additional Land Near Kioreroa Taken for the Purposes of the North Auckland Railway (Kioreroa Deviation)

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the North Auckland Railway (Kioreroa Deviation).

Situated in Block IX, Whangarei Survey District.

Both situated in Blocks IX and XIII, Whangarei Survey District.
8 0 1·7 Part Lot 12, D.P. 13347, being part Kioreroa Block; coloured orange.
Situated in Block XIII, Whangarei Survey District.

All in Whangarei County. (S.O. 40709.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 15431 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 11th day of December 1958.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold lands described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a burial ground for the common use or benefit of Maoris who are members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 20·43 perches.

Railway land being part Lot 25, D.P. 1603, being portion of Opatito Block, and being part of the land in Proclamation 12644.

Situated in Block XII, Waihou Survey District, Borough of Paeroa. (S.O. 33974.)

In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9740 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

Fixing Date for First Election of Members of Town Council for Town District of Murupara

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Kawerau and Murupara Townships Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. The first election of members of the Town Council of the Town District of Murupara shall be held on Saturday the 21st day of November 1959.
  2. The number of Councillors to be elected at that election shall be five.
  3. The Town Clerk of the Town District of Murupara shall be the Returning Officer for that election.

PURSUANT to section 40 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the sale and removal of any stone, gravel, or shingle upon or under the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land vested in Her Majesty the Queen for a quarry pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928.
