Notice of Intention to Take Land and an Easement Over Land in Block VII, Waoku Survey District, for a Quarry
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the First Schedule hereto for a quarry, and to take an easement over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, vesting in Her Majesty the Queen full and free right, liberty, licence, and authority in perpetuity to construct and use a right of way, with the right for Her Majesty’s invitees, servants, agents, and workmen from time to time and at all times hereafter to go, pass, and repass, with or without horses or other animals or vehicles, over the said land, and to maintain, repair, and keep open the said right of way for the purpose of providing access to the said quarry, such right of way to be appurtenant to the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken and of the land over which an easement is required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Waima and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land or by the taking of the said easement over land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of such land or to the taking of such easement over land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL those pieces of land in the North Auckland Land District, situated in Block VII, Waoku Survey District, Auckland R.D., described as follows:

SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL those pieces of land in the North Auckland Land District, situated in Block VII, Waoku Survey District, Auckland R.D., described as follows:

The Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957, Amendment No. 14
PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Minister of Industries and Commerce hereby gives the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957, Amendment No. 14, and shall be read together with and deemed to be part of the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

This notice shall come into force on the 12th day of December 1958.

The principal notice shall cease to apply in respect of the services set out in the Schedule hereto.

The principal notice is hereby consequentially amended by omitting from the Schedule thereto all references to the services referred to in the Schedule hereto in respect of which, pursuant to clause 3 hereof, the principal notice no longer applies.

The Control of Prices Act 1947 (Ticketing of Goods) Notice 1958, No. 1
PURSUANT to section 47A of the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Minister of Industries and Commerce hereby gives the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Control of Prices (Ticketing of Goods) Notice 1958, No. 1, and shall come into force on the 12th day of December 1958.

This notice shall apply to all retail sales (other than to sales by auction) of fresh or frozen meat intended for human consumption, which is veal, beef, pork, lamb, hogget, or mutton, and offals of any such meats, but shall not apply to bacon, ham, mince meat, sausage meat, saveloy-sausage meat, lard, or dripping.

Every retailer whose main business is the retail selling of meat, to which this notice applies, shall display in his shop window so as to be easily read by passers by and also in his shop in a prominent position so as to be easily read by customers, a price list in legible and prominent characters showing in respect of the meat the price per pound or, where in accordance with the customary practice within the trade the meat is offered or exposed for sale otherwise than by weight, the price per unit.

Every retailer of meat, to which this notice applies, other than retailers whose main business is the retail selling of meat, shall display in a prominent position in close proximity to all meat, to which this notice applies, offered or displayed for sale, so as to be easily read by customers, a price list in legible and prominent characters showing in respect of the meat the price per pound or, where in accordance with the customary practice within the trade the meat is offered or exposed for sale otherwise than by weight, the price per unit.

Every retailer who offers or exposes for sale any joints or cuts of meat to which this notice applies shall affix to each joint or cut a ticket, placard, or label, on which the total retail price of the joint or cut shall be stated in legible and prominent characters.

In the case of any meat to which this notice applies which, in accordance with the customary practice within the trade, is offered or exposed for sale otherwise than by the joint or cut, the retailer shall affix to or keep in a prominent position in such proximity to the meat to which it relates as to be obviously in relation thereto a ticket, placard, or label showing in legible and prominent characters the retail price per pound or, where in accordance with the customary practice within the trade the meat is offered or exposed for sale otherwise than by weight, the price per unit.

In any case where meat to which this notice applies is not readily identifiable with the description thereof set out in the price list displayed, the retailer shall affix to the meat a ticket, placard, or label giving a description so that it is readily identifiable with the description set out in the price list.

Scheme of Control of Otorohanga College
PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby approves of Otorohanga College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools published in the Gazette of 6 December 1928, Volume III, page 3451:
Provided that:
(a) Clause 11 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “Such election shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1929” were omitted, and the words “The first such election shall be held not later than the first week of the month of May in the year 1959, and such an election shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1961” were substituted therefor:
(b) Clause 19 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if every reference to the year 1929 were a reference to the year 1961:
(c) Clause 43 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “The secretary shall be insured under a fidelity bond for a sum of not less than five hundred pounds” were omitted.

Limited Speed Zone Declared
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

That Warrant, under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 8th day of August 1938,* which relates to an area at Owhango in Taumarunui County, referred to in the said Warrant as Kaitieke County, is hereby revoked.

The portions of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.
