HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
LICENCE
- This order may be cited as the Waitaki Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1958.
- Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the Waitaki Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the licensee) is hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines, and to construct electric works within the area of supply described in the First Schedule hereto.
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
- The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
- The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (h) of regulation 21β01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
- This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 21st day of November 1967.
- The Orders in Council specified in the Second Schedule hereto, authorising the licensee to use electric lines and to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, are hereby revoked.

AREA OF SUPPLY
The Waitaki Electric Power District, as defined in the Fourth Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 23rd day of August 1957, and published in the Gazette on the 29th day of the same month at page 1575.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
LICENCE
- This order may be cited as the King Country Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1958.
- Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the King Country Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the licensee) is hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines and to construct electric works within the area of supply described in the First Schedule hereto.
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
- The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
- The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (j) of regulation 21β01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The system of supply authorised under paragraph (j) shall be a single conductor earth-return system and the use thereof shall be subject to the terms and conditions laid down by the General Manager of the New Zealand Electricity Department.
- This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1968.
- The lines described in paragraph 2 of the First Schedule hereto shall not be used by the licensee for the purpose of supply to retail consumers in the Borough of Taumarunui.
- The Orders in Council specified in the Second Schedule hereto authorising the licensee to erect and use electric lines are hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
(1) Lines and works for the transmission and supply of electrical energy within the King Country Electric Power District as defined in the Second Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 20th day of August 1956 and published in the Gazette on the 23rd day of the same month at page 1124.
(2) Lines for the transmission of electrical energy within the Borough of Taumarunui as follows:
(a) A line leading from a point in Huia Street where it meets the Ongarue River in a north-easterly direction to the former substation of the New Zealand Electricity Department on the north side of that street, and then in a south-easterly direction crossing Huia Street, Taumarunui Street, and the Esplanade to a point on the Borough boundary near Victory Bridge.
(b) A line leading from the former New Zealand Electricity Department substation aforesaid in a north-westerly direction to the substation of the Taumarunui Borough Council, situated on the south side of Miriama Street near its junction with River Road.
(c) A line leading from a point on the east bank of the Ongarue River, near its confluence with the Wanganui River, in a south-easterly direction across the Cherry Grove Domain and the Esplanade to a point on the west bank of the northern arm of the Wanganui River.
As the said electric lines are shown by means of red lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 486 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
