Registration of School Colours

PURSUANT to the Education Act 1914 and regulations made thereunder, the following shield has been registered for the Culverden School, Canterbury Education Board.

Shield: Gules, on a bend Sable fimbriated Or, between in chief an open book Proper and in base a basketball goal post of the second behind the dexter end of a rugby football of the third, a mullet Argent between two fleeces Or, the whole within a bordure of the last.

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the City of Nelson, the County of Waimea, and the Stoke Riding of the County of Waimea, the previous boundaries having been altered by Order in Council made on 12 February 1958, and published in Gazette, 13 February 1958, No. 12, page 173.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western low-water mark of the Boulder Bank due west of the northernmost corner of Section 1132, City of Nelson, and proceeding due east along a right line to the northernmost corner of the said Section 1132; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 1132 to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 1167, City of Nelson;
