9, folio 183; thence north-westerly to and along the north-
western boundary of the said part Section 76 to its northern-
most corner; thence westerly along a right line over Waimea
Inlet to Pipe XII, Deposited Plan 1689, on the southern side
of Point Road; thence north-westerly along a right line
bearing 299° 12′, distance 657·9 links to O.P. XIII, Deposited
Plan 1689; thence northerly along a right line bearing 6°
distance 4400 links to its intersection with the seaward
boundary of Section 34, Square 1; thence generally north-
easterly along the seaward boundaries of the said Section 34,
Sections 5 and 7, Block III, Waimea Survey District, Sections
5 and 99, District of Suburban South, and the seaward side
of the Nelson-Westport State Highway (Rocks Road) to its
intersection with the production of a line bearing 123° 42′
distance 1413·21 links as shown on S.O. Plan 8460; thence
north-westerly along a right line to the low-water mark at
Wave Point on Haulashore Island; thence generally northerly
along the seaward low-water mark of Haulashore Island to
the training wall on the southern side of the new entrance;
thence northerly along a line at right angles to the said train-
ing wall, across the new entrance, to the low-water mark on
the Boulder Bank; thence generally northerly along the sea-
ward low-water mark of the Boulder Bank to the point of
commencement.
BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF WAIMEA
All that area in the Nelson Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the sea coast of Tasman Bay
in line with the southern boundary of Section 5, Block X,
Totaranui Survey District and proceeding generally south-
easterly and north-easterly along the said sea coast, crossing
the mouths of all harbours and inlets, to Pukerau Point;
thence south-easterly along a right line to North Castor Peak;
thence generally southerly and south-westerly along the sum-
mit of the Bryant Range through the Rai Saddle and Mount
Tuppa to the source of the Heringa Creek on Saddle Hill;
thence south-easterly down the middle of that creek to the
middle of the Pelorous River; thence generally south-westerly
to the middle of that river to its source on Slaty Peak; thence
generally south-westerly along the summit of Bryant Range
and Richmond Range through Mount Rintoul, Bishops Cap,
and Bushy Top to Wards Pass; again south-westerly along a
right line to Trig. Station Top 2 situated in Block XV, Motu-
piko Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-
eastern boundary of Section 3, Square 34 and that boundary
produced across the Renwicktown-Hope Junction Main High-
way to its southern side; thence south-westerly along the
southern side of that highway to the westernmost corner of
Section 6, Square 34; thence south-easterly along the south-
western boundary of the said Section 6 to the south-eastern
corner of Section 11, Block XIV, Motupiko Survey District;
thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boun-
dary of the said Section 11 to the summit of the St. Arnaud
Range; again south-westerly along the summit of that range
to its intersection with the south-western watershed of the
Mainy and Motupiko Rivers situated in Section 18, Block XIV,
Motupiko Survey District; thence north-westerly along the
said watershed to the southern corner of Section 6, Block IX,
Motupiko Survey District; again north-westerly along the
south-western boundaries of the said Section 6 and Section 4,
Block IX aforesaid, to a point in line with the south-western
boundary of Section 7, Block IX aforesaid; and again north-
westerly to and along the south-western boundary of the
said Section 7 and the south-western boundaries of Section 4,
Block IX aforesaid, Sections 2 and 1, Block XII, Howard
Survey District, Sections 14, 12, 11, 10, and 9, Block VIII,
Howard Survey District, Section 1, Block VII, Howard
Survey District, and Section 6, Block III, Howard Survey
District to Trig. Station G; thence generally south-westerly
along the north-western boundaries of Sections 7 and 1 of 12,
Block VII, Howard Survey District, Section 11, Block VI,
Howard Survey District and Section 4, Block X, Hope Survey
District to Trig. Station VII; thence south-westerly along a
right line to the confluence of the Hope and Buller Rivers;
thence north-westerly along a right line to Mount Owen;
thence generally north-westerly along the summit of the Lyell
Range through Trig. Station D, Trig. Station W and Nuggets
Knob to the Wangapeka Saddle; thence generally north-
easterly, northerly, and again north-easterly along the Arthur
Range and Pikikiruna Range through Lodestone, Crusader,
Toary Head, and Pikikiruna to a point on the western
boundary of Section 1, Block XI, Totaranui Survey District,
in line with the southern boundary of Section 5, Block X,
Totaranui Survey District; thence due east to and along that
boundary and its production to the point of commence-
ment.
Including therein all adjacent islands in the Moutere and
Waimea mud flats, but excluding therefrom the City of Nelson
hereinbefore described, the Borough of Richmond as described
in Gazette, 1917, page 4194, and the Borough of Motueka
as described in Gazette, 1939, page 2175.
BOUNDARIES OF STOKE RIDING
All that area in the Nelson Land District, situated in the
Waimea County, bounded by a line commencing at the inter-
section of a right line bearing 6° distance 4400 links from O.P.
XIII, Deposited Plan 1689, with the seaward boundary of Section
34, Square 1, and being a point on the boundary of the City
of Nelson, and proceeding generally south-easterly, north-
easterly, and south-easterly along the southern boundary of
the City of Nelson hereinbefore described to its intersection
with the north-western boundary of Section 22, Square 18,
situated in Block I, Maungatapu Survey District; thence
generally south-westerly and south-easterly along the north-
western and south-western boundaries of the said Section 22
to the meridian of Botanical Hill; thence southerly along that
meridian to the northern boundary of Section 8, Block IV,
Maungatapu Survey District; thence generally westerly and
southerly along the northern and western boundaries of the
said Section 8 to its southernmost corner; thence south-
westerly along a right line to the confluence of the Roding
River and United Creek; thence south-easterly along a right
line to the north-eastern corner of Section 12, Block XII,
Waimea Survey District; thence generally westerly along the
northern boundaries of the said Section 12 and Sections 9
and 5, Block XII aforesaid to the south-eastern bank of the
Roding River; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern
bank of that river to a point in line with the north-eastern
boundary of Section 58, Square 1; thence north-westerly to
and along the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 58
and its production across a public road to the north-eastern
boundary of Section 57, Square 1; thence north-westerly and
south-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the said
Section 57 and the north-western boundary of Section 56,
Square 1 to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary
of Section 5, Block VIII, Waimea Survey District; thence
north-westerly to and along the north-eastern boundary of
the said Section 5 and the north-eastern side of Upper Queen
Street to the boundary of the Borough of Richmond as
described in Gazette, 1917, page 4194; thence north-easterly
and north-westerly along the boundary of that borough to
the western boundary of Block VII, Waimea Survey District;
thence due north for a distance of 100 chains along that
boundary and the western boundary of Block III, Waimea
Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to
the point of commencement.
