Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the
Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Whangaehu Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of
the publication of this notice in the Gazette the lands described
in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the pro-
visions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
said lands being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 30
September 1937 and published in the Gazette, 7 October
1937, Volume III, page 2290.

PURSUANT to section 3 of Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Acting
Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation
from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the
said Act, hereby publishes the following special order made
by the Ashburton County Council on the 17th day of
October 1958.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT, pursuant to the provisions of section 3 of the Noxious
Weeds Act 1950, the Council of the County of Ashburton
hereby resolves by way of special order that:

Heath (Erica lusitanica and Erica arborea) and
Viper’s Bugloss (Echium vulgare)

shall be declared noxious weeds within the County of
Ashburton.
