at Auckland, and Alan George Simms, of Auckland, book-
seller and stationer (being the trustees under a certain deed of
trust, dated the 31st day of July 1953, made between the said
Alan George Simms, as settler of the one part and the said
New Zealand Insurance Co. Ltd. and Alan George Simms as
trustees of the other part) as joint special partners in the
above-named special partnership in their representative
capacity of trustees under the said deed of trust, do hereby
jointly and severally certify, for the purposes of section 51 of
the Partnership Act 1908, as follows:

  1. The style of the firm under which the partnership is to
    be conducted is “General Credits Ltd. and Co.” trading as
    “The Waverley Book Shop”.

  2. (a) The name and registered office of the only general
    partner in the firm is “General Credits Ltd.”, an incor-
    porated company having its registered office at 108 Pacific
    Buildings, Wellesley Street East, Auckland.

(b) The name and registered office of one of the two special
partners in the firm is the New Zealand Insurance Co. Ltd.,
an incorporated company having its registered office at Queen
Street, Auckland.

(c) The name and residence of the other of the two special
partners in the firm is Alan George Simms, of 308 Kohi-
maramara Road, Kohimaramara, Auckland.

(d) The two special partners are such jointly and in their
representative capacity as trustees under the deed of trust
hereinbefore referred to.

  1. (a) The amount of capital which the joint special partners
    in their representative capacity as trustees under the said deed
    of trust have jointly contributed to the common stock is a
    one-third share or interest, valued at £1,309 8s.

(b) The amount of capital which the general partner has
contributed to the common stock is a two-thirds share or
interest, valued at £2,618 16s.

  1. The general nature of the business to be transacted by
    the partnership is that of retailers and wholesalers and any
    other mercantile business lawfully carried on in New Zealand.

  2. The principal place where the business of the partnership
    will be transacted is at 18 Queen Street, Auckland.

  3. The partnership shall commence on the 1st day of
    October 1958, and shall terminate on the 30th day of Sep-
    tember 1965.

In witness whereof this notice has been executed this 1st
day of October 1958.

The Common Seal of General Credits Ltd., as the general
partner, was hereto affixed in the presence of—

The Common Seal of the New Zealand Insurance Co. Ltd.
as a joint special partnership in its representative capacity as
trustee under the aforesaid deed of trust, was hereunto affixed

CANCELLING A SOCIETY

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies
Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 15th day of
October 1958, cancelled the registry of Loyal Star of the West
Lodge, No. 7568, of the Southland District of the Manchester
Unity Independent Order of Odd Fellows Friendly Society
(Register No. 64/10), held at Orepuki, on the ground that
the said branch has ceased to exist.

CANCELLING A SOCIETY

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies
Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 20th day of
October 1958, cancelled the registry of Alexandra Lodge,
No. 21, a branch of the Grand Lodge of Otago and South-
land, New Zealand, of the United Ancient Order of Druids
Friendly Society (Register No. 298/20), held at Alexandra
South, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

MOTUEKA BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 22 of the
Public Works Act 1928, the Motueka Borough Council pro-
poses, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act to
execute a certain public work namely, the acquisition of land
for street purposes; and for such purposes the lands described
in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is
hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to
be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk
to the said Council, situate in High Street, and is open for
inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office
hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said
public work or by the taking of such lands who have any
well grounded objections to the execution of the said public
work or to the taking of the said lands must state their
objections in writing and send same within 40 days from the
first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the
Council Chambers, High Street.

SCHEDULE

  1. Area of land required to be taken: 4 perches, part Sec-
    tion 160 M.R. Motueka, part Deposited Plan 1516, coloured

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Auckland
Harbour Bridge Act 1950 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Harbour Bridge
Authority proposes, under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work namely, the
formation and construction of the Auckland Harbour Bridge
and its approaches, and for the purpose of such public work
the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken; and notice is hereby further given that plans of the
lands so required to be taken are deposited at the office of
the Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority which is situated
on the Fifth Floor, Tasman Building, Anzac Avenue,
Auckland, and they are open for public inspection, without
fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such lands who have well grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to
the taking of the said lands must state their objections in
writing and send the same within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice to the Secretary, Auckland Harbour
Bridge Authority, Fifth Floor, Tasman Building, Anzac
Avenue, Auckland.
