Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
SECTION 116, Western Lake Block, situated in Blocks III and IV, Rimutaka Survey District, and Blocks I and V, Wairarapa Survey District: Area, 188 acres 3 roods, more or less. Shown on plan No. 93/10 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington and thereon coloured yellow. (S.O. Plan 23447.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 10th day of October 1958.

SECTION 6, Block X, Section 10, Block XVIII, Section 1, Block XIX, Section 1, Block XX, and Sections 11, 12, and 13, Block XXI, Crookston Survey District: Area, 37 acres 2 roods 27 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 12393.)
Also Section 7, Block III, Section 60, Block VI, and Section 22, Block VIII, Rankleburn Survey District: Area, 24 acres 1 rood 17 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 12394.)
Also closed road in Blocks V, VI, VII, and VIII, Rankleburn Survey District: Area, 98 acres 1 rood, more or less. (S.O. Plan 12394.)
As the same are more particularly delineated on plans Nos. 204/76 and 204/77, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Defining the Middle Line of the Waikato-Thames Railway (Paeroa Connection)

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the Waikato-Thames Railway (Paeroa Connection) shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
COMMENCING at a point marked 42 miles 25 chains 59 links (Frankton to Thames milage) on the existing Waikato-Thames Railway and proceeding thence in an easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 35 chains, passing in, into, through, or over portions of railway land in Gazette, 1896, page 716, No. 1A and No. 2A, Koromatua Block (C.T. 386/82), No. 3A Koromatua Block (C.T. 21/161), Lot 3, D.P. 24909 (C.T. 651/287), and railway land in Gazette, 1902, page 1779, all in Block XVI, Waihou Survey District, and terminating at a point marked 60 chains (Paeroa to Taneatua milage) on the existing Paeroa-Waihi Railway, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, streets, tracks, streams, and watercourses.
All in Ohinemuri County, in the Auckland Land District; as the same are delineated on the plan marked L.O. 15494 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington.

Adding Lands to the Fiordland National Park

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 15th day of October 1958
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being Crown land subject to the provisions of the Land Act 1948, shall as from the date hereof be added to and form part of the Fiordland National Park, and shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with by the Fiordland National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the first-mentioned Act.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Fiord County, containing by estimation 660 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point on the southern shore of the South Entrance of Preservation Inlet, also known as Otago’s Retreat, the said point being distant 50 chains in a straight line running north-easterly from Trig. Station D, Block I, Preservation Survey District; thence due south along a right line for a distance of 135 chains, approximately, to the sea coast; thence north-westerly generally along the sea coast to Puysegur Point; thence north-easterly generally along the sea coast and the southern shore of the South Entrance of Preservation Inlet to the point of commencement. Excluding from the above described area any public roads. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/300M, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALSO all that area in the Otago Land District containing by estimation 6,100 acres, more or less, in Caples, Dart, Greenstone, and Upper Wakatipu Survey Districts, bounded as follows:
Commencing at Ocean Peak in Dart Survey District; thence generally southerly along the watershed between the Caples and Hollyford Rivers to a point on the bush edge approximately half a mile east of the Greenstone Saddle; thence generally northerly along the eastern edge of the bush to the southern boundary of Caples Survey District; thence westerly along that boundary to Pass Creek; thence generally northerly along the left banks of Pass Creek and the Hollyford River to the south-western corner of Run 474; thence generally north-easterly along that boundary to the south-western boundary of the Routeburn Scenic Reserve; thence south-easterly along that boundary and easterly along the southern boundary of the said reserve to Ocean Peak, the point of commencement, and including the beds and waters of all internal rivers, lakes, and streams. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/300N, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
