PARTNERSHIP NOTICE

NOTICE is hereby given that, as from 31 July 1958, James Joseph Hackshaw has retired from the firm practising under the name of “Group Architects” at 27 Ferry Buildings, Quay Street, Auckland, and that the practice will continue to be carried on under the same firm name and at the above address by the remaining partners Ivan Bertram Juriss and William Douglas Wilson. Mr Hackshaw will henceforth practise under his own name at 145 Queen Street, Onehunga, Auckland. S.E. 5.

THE GUARDIAN TRUST AND EXECUTORS CO. OF NEW ZEALAND LTD.

DECLARATION

IN conformity with the above Act, I, Ernest Bissett, General Manager of The Guardian Trust and Executors Co. of New Zealand Ltd., do solemnly and sincerely declare:

  1. That the liability of the members is limited. The capital of the company is £100,000, fully paid, divided in to £20,000 shares of £5 each.

The assets of the company in its corporate capacity on the 30th day of June last were £182,873.

The liabilities of the company in its corporate capacity on that day were £5,273.

The first annual licence was issued on the 10th day of March 1911.

  1. That, in the capacity of trustees and executors, the amount of moneys received on account of estates up to the 30th day of June last was £83,101,929.

The amount of moneys paid on account of estates up to that day was £82,778,259.

The amount of balances held in trust accounts at various banks on account of estates under administration on that day was £323,670.

  1. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act 1927.

ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Fire Services Act 1949, and all other acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the Ashburton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a special loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Ashburton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts to be known as the Fire Tender Loan 1958, £5,000, for the purpose of purchasing a fire tender, the Ashburton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of £·000289 in the pound upon all the rateable property within the Borough of Ashburton on the basis of unimproved value; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of 14 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

GREYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Housing Loan No. 2 (1958), £5,000

It is hereby notified that at a special meeting of the Council held on the 3rd day of July 1958, the Greymouth Borough Council resolved that:

“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, that for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000) authorised to be raised by the Greymouth Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for erection of pensioners’ flats, the said Greymouth Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0896d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Greymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Administration Building Loan 1958, £75,000

“THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of seventy-five thousand pounds (£75,000) to be known as the Administration Building Loan 1958, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of meeting the cost of preliminary expenses, including consultants’ fees, site investigation, design and preparation of plans and contract documents in connection with the construction of the new administration building, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of a penny (³⁄₁₆d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.’”

BULLER ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Buller Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Buller Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the construction and equipment of water-driven electric power generating works at Karamea, the said Buller Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one decimal four one of a penny (1·41d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Buller Electric Power District, comprising part of the County of Buller and the whole of the Borough of Westport, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The said special rate is the same rate made by the said Board on the 13th day of March 1951, the 10th day of March 1952, the 9th day of September 1952, the 9th day of March 1953, the 13th day of July 1953, the 12th day of October 1953, the 8th day of February 1954, the 14th day of June 1954, the 21st day of June 1954, the 8th day of November 1954, the 12th day of October 1955, and on the 13th day of August 1958 with respect to a loan of £30,000 and not additional thereto.”
