TE AWAMUTU ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £75,000 authorised to be raised by the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board District, the said Te Awamutu Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL

WATER SUPPLY SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN No. 1, 1958, £14,500

FOR the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £14,500 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of meeting increased costs on its original Water Supply Loan of £14,500, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·020391d. (pence) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the following special rating area of the county: Commencing at the city boundary on the east side of Greers Road, along Greers Road to the northern branch of the Waimairi Stream south of Memorial Avenue; from the junction of Greers Road and Memorial Avenue, along Memorial Avenue to Ilam Road; thence south along Ilam Road to its junction with Kirkwood Avenue; thence east along Kirkwood Avenue to Clyde Road; thence following around the Fendalton Riding boundary to Ilam Road; thence along Ilam Road to a point in line with the intersection of Ilam Road and Brookside Terrace; thence in a northerly direction along the county boundary to the starting point in Greers Road; and the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty-three years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FOR the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of meeting increased costs on its original Water Supply Loan of £50,000, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·006727d. (pence) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the following special rating area of the county: The whole of the Middleton Riding of the county, and from the Middleton Riding boundary on Yaldhurst Road, along Yaldhurst Road to Russley Road; thence north along Russley Road to Memorial Avenue, east along Memorial Avenue to Woolridge Road; thence north along Woolridge Road to Harewood Road; thence east along Harewood Road to Crofton Street, north along Crofton Street to Sawyers Arms Road; thence in an easterly direction along Sawyers Arms Road to Highstead Road, along Highstead Road in a northerly direction to Claridges Road, east along Claridges Road to Grampian Road; thence in a north-easterly direction along Grampian Road to Cavendish Road, north along Cavendish Road to Styx Mill Road; thence east along Styx Mill Road to its junction with the Main North Road, from this point continuing in an easterly direction to Farquhars Road; thence along Farquhars Road to Grimseys Road; thence south along Grimseys Road to Winters Road, along Winters Road in a westerly direction to the city boundary; thence following around the city boundary generally in a westerly direction to Ilam Road; thence in a westerly direction along Ilam Road to the Middleton Riding boundary on Ilam Road; and the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-eight years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

AWATERE COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Awatere County Council, at its meeting held on the 11th day of September 1958, has resolved to prepare for the County of Awatere a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Awatere County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County Clerk’s office on or before the 9th day of December 1958.
