Waihi Drainage Area—Notice of Making and Levying General Rates
Pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act 1915 and its amendments, the Minister of Lands hereby makes and levies on the unimproved value of all land within the Pukehina Subdivision of the Waihi Drainage Area, constituted under the said Act, the general rates described in the First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land within the Central Subdivision the general rate described in the Second Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land in the Kaikokopu Subdivision the general rates described in the Third Schedule hereto, and on an acreage basis of all land within the Southern Pumping Area Special Subdivision the general rates described in the Fourth Schedule hereto, and on an acreage basis of all land within the Northern Pumping Area Special Subdivision the general rates described in the Fifth Schedule hereto, such respective rates being for the purpose of meeting maintenance costs for the period 1 April 1958 to 31 March 1959.
The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on 30 August 1958, together with the amount of the annually recurring special rates already made and levied.
The rate book of the area will be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Lands and Survey Department, Room 2, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Tauranga County Council, Tauranga, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.
FIRST SCHEDULE
GENERAL RATES
Pukehina Subdivision
Class A—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1928, one penny and seventy-six one-hundredths of a penny (1·76d.) in the pound.
Class C—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, seventy-eight one-hundredths of a penny (0·78d.) in the pound.
SECOND SCHEDULE
GENERAL RATES
Central Subdivision
Class A—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1928, eleven pence and twenty-one one-hundredths of a penny (11·21d.) in the pound.
THIRD SCHEDULE
GENERAL RATES
Kaikokopu Subdivision
Class A—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1928, fourpence and twenty-one one-hundredths of a penny (4·21d.) in the pound.
Class B—On the unimproved value of al lands so classified as Class B, threepence and twenty-seven one-hundredths of a penny (3·27d.) in the pound.
Class C—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, one penny and eighty-seven one-hundredths of a penny (1·87d.) in the pound.
