Declaring the Cartage of Liquids in Bulk Tank Wagons
Within Mangonui County to be Goods Services
Pursuant to section 98 of the Transport Act 1949, the
Minister of Transport hereby declares that any service by road
tank wagon for the carriage (whether for hire or reward or
not) of liquids other than milk or milk products for delivery
to any place within the boundaries of Mangonui County shall
be deemed, for the purpose of the Transport Act 1949, to be
a goods service within the meaning of the said Act.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister
of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions
of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as
they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not
apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof
the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1940, to the person described in column 1 of the
Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade
motor in the course of his employment for the employer
described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not
authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to
drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Pursuant to subclause (4) of regulation 11A of the Motor
Vehicles Registration and Licensing Regulations 1949,* the

to Fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Fire Committees
for the Gore and Mataura Urban Fire Districts
Pursuant to the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of
Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon on Thursday,
28 August 1958, as the time, and the offices of the Otago
and Southland Fire and Accident Underwriters' Association, Dunedin, as the place, for the holding of a meeting of
representatives of the fire insurance companies carrying on
business in New Zealand to elect one member on each of the
fire committees for the Gore and Mataura Urban Fire Districts.
