Pursuant to section 254 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes an Order in Council made on 28 July 1954 and published in Gazette, 5 August 1954, Volume II, page 1254, prohibiting all alienations of the Maori land known as Mangere Village, Lot 4 and other blocks, other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Validating Proceedings in Connection with the Tuakau Borough Council's Loan of £4,000

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Tuakau Borough Council is proceeding by way of special order to raise a loan of £4,000 to be known as the Fire Station Loan 1958 (hereinafter called "the said loan"):
And whereas the proceedings in connection with the raising of the said loan were irregular or defective in that there was an interval of less than 14 days between the two notifications required by paragraph (c) of section 77 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the district have not been misled by such irregularity or defect as aforesaid and it is expedient to validate the same:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 130 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the proceedings in connection with the raising of the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though an interval of not less than 14 days had elapsed between the two notifications, and hereby further orders and declares that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the raising of the said loan or of the security for the said loan shall not be questioned on the ground of the irregularity or defect aforesaid.

Boundaries of County of Waikato and City of Hamilton Altered

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. On and from the 1st day of April 1959, the areas described in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the County of Waikato and included in the City of Hamilton.
  2. The alteration of boundaries of the said county and the said city hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE
AREAS EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF WAIKATO AND INCLUDED IN CITY OF HAMILTON
All that area in the South Auckland Land District in the Waikato County containing 425 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block XIV, Komakorau Survey District, in the middle of Peach Grove Road in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 14662, being part Allotment 186, Kirikiriroa Parish, and proceeding along a right line to and north-easterly along that south-eastern boundary, along a right line across Lot 2, D.P. 32304, being part Allotments 186 and 187, to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 3211, being part Allotments 185 and 186, along a right line across the Hamilton-Tauhei Main Highway No. 534 (Tramway Road), to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 12771, being part Allotments 202 and 202A, to the easternmost corner of that Lot 5; thence generally south-easterly along a right line across part Lot 2, D.P. 12711, being part Allotments 202, 202A, and 203, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 12771, being part Allotment 202, along the northern side, the eastern end, and the southern side of Alderson Road to and along the south-western boundaries of Lots 29 and 33, D.P. 16401, being part Allotments 201 and 203, along a right line across Powells Road to and along the south-western boundary of Lot 36, D.P. 16401, being part Allotment 201, along the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 406 (part Ruakura State Farm) to a point at right angles to and 3 chains distant easterly from the eastern side of Tramway Road; thence along a series of right lines parallel to the eastern side of that road, the northern and north-eastern sides of Bisley Road, and the production of the aforesaid north-eastern side, to the southern side of the Thames Branch Railway; thence along that southern side to a point in line with the western boundary of part Allotment 304, as shown on S.O. Plan 32792 (area, 1 acre 3 roods); thence along a right line across another part Allotment 304 to and along the last-mentioned western boundary and the western boundary of an area of 1 acre 2 roods 36.57 perches, being parts Allotments 304 and 223A, as shown on S.O. Plan 32394 (the aforesaid areas being taken for water power development, Gazette, 1946, page 4), along another right line across another part Allotment 223A to and along the western boundary of an area of 1 acre 1 rood 16.31 perches, being part Allotment 223A, as shown on S.O. Plan 32394 aforementioned, to its southern-most corner, the aforesaid Allotments being of Kirikiriroa Parish; thence along a right line across State Farm Road to and along the western boundary of Allotment 408, Kirikiriroa Parish, to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 46, Hamilton East Town Belt, being a point on the boundary of the City of Hamilton; thence westerly and then generally northerly along the boundary of the City of Hamilton, as described in Gazette, 1954, page 587, to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the South Auckland Land District in the Waikato County containing 6 acres and 30.7 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block II, Hamilton Survey District, on the southern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 35032, being part Allotment 233, Kirikiriroa Parish, in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 32103, being part Allotment 254 of the aforesaid parish, and proceeding easterly along that southern boundary and the southern boundary of Lot 21, D.P. 35032 aforesaid (public road by Transfer 444331) to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S. 3626; thence southerly along a right line to and along the last-mentioned western boundary, along the western boundary of Lot 4, D.P. S. 3626, to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 10, D.P. 32103, to the easternmost corner of part Lot 2, D.P. 16692 (school site, Gazette, 1955, page 1615), being a point on the boundary of the City of Hamilton, the aforesaid lots being parts Allotment 254 aforesaid; thence generally northerly along that city boundary, as described in Gazette, 1954, page 587, to the point of commencement.
