Boundaries of County of Oroua and Borough of Feilding Altered

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of August 1958
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER
  1. On and from the 1st day of April 1959, the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Oroua and included in the Borough of Feilding.
  2. The alteration of boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing 1 rood 3Β·07 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Lot 1, D.P. 17188, being a point on the boundary of the Borough of Feilding as described in Gazette 1939, page 1582; thence westerly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of the said Lot 1 and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Highfield Road; thence easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of the said Lot 1, being a point on the boundary of the Borough of Feilding aforesaid; thence northerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

Boundaries of Town District of Mercer, County of Franklin, and County of Raglan Altered

ORDER IN COUNCIL

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER
  1. The area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the Town District of Mercer.
  2. Upon the alteration of the boundaries of the Town District of Mercer as aforesaid that area shall be excluded from the County of Franklin and included in the County of Raglan.
  3. The alteration of boundaries hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties Act 1956.
SCHEDULE

AREA EXCLUDED FROM TOWN DISTRICT OF MERCER AND COUNTY OF FRANKLIN AND INCLUDED IN COUNTY OF RAGLAN

ALL that area of approximately 110 acres in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point being the intersection of the left bank of the Old River Bed with the present left bank of the Waikato River and running south-easterly up that present left bank which forms the eastern boundary of Allotment 38, Koheroa Parish (Tuoro Island), to the left bank of the Old River Bed; thence westerly and then north-westerly along the left bank of the Old River Bed aforesaid to the point of commencement.

Alexandra Borough Council Declared a Leasing Authority Under the Public Bodies' Leases Act 1908

Pursuant to section 4 of the Public Bodies' Leases Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the Alexandra Borough Council is a leasing authority within the meaning of that Act.

Exempting Land in the Southland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

Pursuant to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

THE land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land containing 151 acres 2 roods 38 perches, more or less, being Lots 1 and 2, Deposited Plan No. 5419, being part of Section 212, Block IV, and Section 211, Block VI, Wairio Survey District, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 166, folio 176, Southland Registry.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 28th day of July 1958.
