Amending Declaration of Land, Hokianga County, Bay of Islands Acclimatisation District, to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in Gazette, 14 March 1957, Volume I, page 469, notifying and declaring a certain area to be a wildlife refuge under the Wildlife Act 1953 in so far as it relates to the Bay of Islands Acclimatisation District and only to the extent appearing in the First Schedule hereto, and I hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Second Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Wildlife Act 1953.

FIRST SCHEDULE

AREA REVOKED AS A WILDLIFE REFUGE UNDER THE WILDLIFE ACT 1953

Sections 17, 18, and 22, Block VIII, Whangape Survey District: Area, 798 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less. As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/278 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. Plan 17399; L. and S. D.O. File 13/1.)

SECOND SCHEDULE

AREA DECLARED TO BE A WILDLIFE REFUGE UNDER THE WILDLIFE ACT 1953

Sections 17, 18, 20, 21, and 22, Block VIII, Whangape Survey District: Total area, 1,366 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less. As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/278 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. Plan 17399; L. and S. D.O. File 13/1/1.)

Declaring an Area in the Marlborough Acclimatisation District to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge in the Marlborough Acclimatisation District for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.

SCHEDULE

Rock shelves and reef eastward of the Kaikoura Light House as shown more particularly on plan marked I.A. 52/410 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Declaring Access Ways to be Vested in the Corporation of the City of Auckland and to be Under the Control and Management of the Auckland City Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of August 1958

Present:

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council

Pursuant to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the access ways described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland and be under the control and management of the Auckland City Council.

All those pieces of land in the North Auckland Land District, situated in Block II, Otahuhu Survey District, City of Auckland, Auckland R.D., described as follows:

Authorising the Laying Off of Iris Place in the City of Wanganui, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of August 1958

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council

Pursuant to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Wanganui City Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than 66 ft but not less than 40 ft, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, D.P. 20000, within a distance of 15 ft from the side line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

That proposed street in the Wellington Land District, City of Wanganui, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 11·45 perches, more or less, being Reserve B and part Lot 31, D.P. 843, being part Sections 61 and 62, Left Bank Wanganui River; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 156122 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Amending Declaration of Land, Auckland Acclimatisation District, as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in Gazette, 21 February 1929, Volume I, page 445, notifying and declaring certain areas to be sanctuaries under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921–22 in so far as it relates to the Auckland Acclimatisation District and to only the extent appearing in the First Schedule hereto, and I hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Second Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.

FIRST SCHEDULE

AREA REVOKED AS SANCTUARY UNDER THE ANIMALS PROTECTION AND GAME ACT 1921–22

All that area in the Auckland Land District, being Wharepuhunga Nos. 9A 2, 9C 1, 9C 2, 5C, and 5D.

SECOND SCHEDULE

AREA DECLARED TO BE A WILDLIFE REFUGE UNDER THE WILDLIFE ACT 1953

All that area of land in the South Auckland Land District, being Wharepuhunga Nos. 5E 1 and 5E 2 Blocks and part No. 5D Block. All situated in Block XVI, Puniu Survey District: Total area, 572 acres and 20 perches, more or less. Certificate of titles, Volume 264, folio 205, Volume 266, folio 231, and Volume 706, folio 338 (Letherbridge, owner). As shown on the plan marked I.A. 52/333 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
