Cancellation of the Vesting in the Tangimoana Improvement and Beautifying Society (Incorporated) of a Reserve, and Vesting a Reserve in the Tangimoana Progressive Society Incorporated

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Tangimoana Improvement and Beautifying Society (Incorporated) of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, and further, pursuant to the said Act, vests the said reserve in the Tangimoana Progressive Society Incorporated, in trust, as a site for a public hall.

Definition of the Purpose of Reserves

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby defines the purpose to which the public reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall be dedicated as recreation.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTIONS 4A and 13, Town of Wolseley, situated in Block III, Titirangi Survey District: Total area, 2 roods, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 696, folio 40. (S.O. Plan 3062B.)

Kaitaia Drainage Area—Notice of Intention to Make and Levy General Rates

Pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act 1915 and its amendments, notice is hereby given that it is intended to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the Kaitaia Town District Subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area constituted under the said Act, the general rate described in the First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land in the subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area outside the Kaitaia Town District, the general rates described in the Second Schedule hereto, to meet maintenance costs for the period 1 April 1958 to 31 March 1959.

The amount of the general rates, together with the amount of the annually recurring special rates already made and levied, will be payable in one sum on 30 August 1958.

The valuation roll of the area will be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Room 2, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Lands and Survey Department, Kaitaia, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

FIRST SCHEDULE

TOWN SUBDIVISION

On the unimproved value of all lands within the Kaitaia Town District, forty-two one-hundredths of a penny (0·42d.) in the pound.

SECOND SCHEDULE

RURAL SUBDIVISION

Class A—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1928, fifty pence and sixty-two one-hundredths of a penny (50·62d.) in the pound.

Class B—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, seventeen pence and seventy-two one-hundredths of a penny (17·72d.) in the pound.

Class C—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, seven pence and fifty-nine one-hundredths of a penny (7·59d.) in the pound.

Poukawa Drainage Area—Notice of Making and Levying General Rates

Pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act 1915 and its amendments, the Minister of Lands hereby makes and levies, on the unimproved value of land within the Poukawa Drainage Area constituted under the said Act, the general rates to meet maintenance costs for the period 1 April 1958 to 31 March 1959, as described in the Schedule hereto.

The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on 30 August 1958, together with the amount of the annually recurring special rates already made and levied, to the Collector of Rates, Room 2, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland.

The rate book of the area will be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Hawke’s Bay Motors Building, Dickens Street, Napier, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

SCHEDULE

Class A: On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1928, twelve pence and three one-hundredths of a penny (12·03d.) in the pound.

Class B: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, twopence and one one-hundredth of a penny (2·01d.) in the pound.

Class C: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, forty one-hundredths of a penny (0·40d.) in the pound.

Hauraki Plains Drainage District—Notice of Making and Levying General Rates

Pursuant to the Hauraki Plains Act 1926, the Minister of Lands does hereby make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under the said Act, the general rates to meet maintenance costs for the period 1 April 1958 to 31 March 1959, as described in the Schedule hereto.

The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on 30 August 1958.

The rate book of the district will be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Room 2, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the Land Drainage Office of the Ministry of Works at Paeroa at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

SCHEDULE

Class A: On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the appraiser appointed under the said Act, five pence and eighty-four one-hundredths of a penny (5·84d.) in the pound.

Class B: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, three pence and thirty-four one-hundredths of a penny (3·34d.) in the pound.

Class C: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, eighty-four one-hundredths of a penny (0·84d.) in the pound.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 28th day of July 1958.

SCHEDULE

All that piece of land in the South Auckland Land District containing 2 roods 26·1 perches, situated in the Borough of Huntly, being Lots 2, 3, and 4, D.P. S. 3752, part Allotment 59, Parish of Taupiri. Part certificate of title, Volume 1068, folio 126, Auckland Land Registry.
