Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Mauriceville
COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become a road; and that the said road shall be under the control of the Mauriceville County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 39 perches.
Being part railway land in Proclamation 46, being part Section 78, and part of the bed of the Kopuaranga River, Block I, Kopuaranga Survey District.
Situated in Mauriceville County. (S.O. 12288.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 15371 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 2nd day of July 1958.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, that land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired, subject as to the land fourthly described in the said Schedule hereto to the water and incidental rights created by memorandum of transfer No. 57593, Wellington Land Registry, and together with the rights of way created by memoranda of transfer Nos. 198068 and 370645, Wellington Land Registry.

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
