Authorising an Officer to Attest Signatures of Maoris to Instruments Under Chattels Transfer Act 1924
COBHAM, Governor-General
PURSUANT to section 464 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby notify and declare that
Herbert Ralph Hadfield, Maori Welfare Officer, Kaitaia, being an officer in the service of the Crown, employed by the Department of Maori Affairs, is authorised to attest, in accordance with the provisions of the said section 464, the signatures of Maoris to instruments by way of security within the meaning of the Chattels Transfer Act 1924.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 23rd day of June 1958.

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby notify and declare that
Herbert Ralph Hadfield, Maori Welfare Officer, Kaitaia, being an officer in the service of the Crown, employed by the Department of Maori Affairs, is authorised to attest, in accordance with the provisions of the said section 222, the signatures of Maoris to instruments of alienation of Maori land.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 23rd day of June 1958.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Mervyn Russell Barnett is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, in the rank of Captain. Dated 30 May 1958.

Christopher Henry Bower Wright to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 14 February 1958.
5th Light Regiment, RNZA
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) R. L. Sanderson to be Captain. Dated 1 April 1958.
