Cancellation of the Vesting in the Levels County Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Notice Under the National Savings Act 1940, Section 4

PURSUANT to section 4 of the National Savings Act 1940, the Minister of Finance hereby prescribes that the eighteenth investment period shall run from 30 June 1958 to 30 June 1959.

The rate of interest to be paid on investments in an investment account during such investment period shall be 3½ per cent.

Moneys invested during such investment period by deposit in an investment account shall be repayable on the 30th day of June 1961.

Provided that where interest is not withdrawn in terms of section 8 (2) of the said Act and is added to the principal moneys of the investor, such amount of interest, together with interest thereon, shall be repayable on the 30th day of June 1959.

Notice Under the National Savings Act 1940, Section 5

PURSUANT to section 5 of the National Savings Act 1940, the Minister of Finance hereby authorises the trustees of the under-mentioned savings banks (being savings bank constituted under the Trustee Savings Bank Act 1948) to receive investments by way of deposit in investment accounts under the National Savings Act 1940 during the investment period expiring on 30 June 1959:

Auckland Savings Bank,
New Plymouth Savings Bank,
Dunedin Savings Bank, and
Invercargill Savings Bank.

Licensing Imperial Chemical Industries (N.Z.) Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land Below Low-water at Waitawa Bay, Auckland, as a Site for an Explosives Jetty

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Imperial Chemical Industries (N.Z.) Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Waitawa Bay, Auckland, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10361 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon an explosives jetty as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions as set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of July 1958.
3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10).
4. The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said jetty shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark, or at some other place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

Licensing the Waikato County Council to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore of the Whangamarino Stream at Kopuku Landing as a Site for a Wharf and Shed

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Waikato County Council (hereinafter called the Council, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore of the Whangamarino Stream at Kopuku Landing, Section 5, Block IV, Maramarua Survey District, as shown on approved plan marked M.D. 4589 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a wharf and shed as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the Council upon and subject to the terms and conditions as set forth in the Schedule hereto.
