Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940


PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Closely Populated Locality Declared


PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

The road and portions of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

SITUATED within Bay of Islands County—

That portion of the Springbank - Kerikeri Wharf Main Highway No. 905 from a point 5 chains south-west of its junction with Hobson Street to a point 16 chains north-east of its junction with Waitangi Road.

Also that portion of Waitangi Road from its junction with the Springbank - Kerikeri Wharf Main Highway No. 905 to a point 1 chain south-east of its junction with Hobson Street.

Also Hobson Street.

Excluding Roads From Speed Limitation


PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

The roads and portion of road specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.


SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Murupara Town District—

Rotorua-Waikaremoana State Highway No. 47 from 1 chain south-east of Pine Drive to the southern boundary of Murupara Town District and from 1 chain north of the bridge over the Rangitaiki River to the western boundary of Murupara Town District.

Te Teko - Murupara Road: Unnamed road on the eastern side of Murupara Settlement which runs from the Rotorua-Waikaremoana State Highway No. 47 to Beach Road and thence to the Whirinaki River.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

The portions of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*


SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Hutt County—

That portion of the Masterton-Wellington State Highway No. 32 from a point 24 chains north-east of its junction with the Upper Hutt - Waikanae Main Highway No. 371 to the north-eastern boundary of Upper Hutt Borough.

Also that portion of the Upper Hutt - Waikanae Main Highway No. 371 from its junction with the Masterton-Wellington State Highway No. 32 to its junction with Bridge Road.

Maketu Road (from its junction with the Paengaroa-Maketu Main Highway No. 585 to a point 40 chains west of the said junction).

Beach Road (from its junction with the Paengaroa-Maketu Main Highway No. 585 to a point 40 chains east of the said junction).

Waihi Road (from its junction with Beach Road to a point 5 chains east of the said junction).

Paengaroa-Maketu Main Highway No. 585 (from its junction with Maketu Road to a point 60 chains south of the said junction).
