PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and* with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Waipa County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Mosgiel Borough Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft, but not less than 50 ft, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land (excepting Lot 19, D.P. 8692) shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 156151 referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 40 ft from the centre line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Otago Land District, situated in Block VII, East Taieri Survey District, Borough of Mosgiel, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 30·9 perches, more or less, being part Sections 3(s), 4(s), and 6(s), Melville Park Settlement; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 156151 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 3rd day of June 1958

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land, described in the Schedule hereto, for the common use and benefit of the Ngati-Pare sub-tribe as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a meeting-place.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of land situated in Block X, Russell Survey District, being, firstly that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood, more or less, known as Waihaha 2c 1B, as described by partition order of the Maori Land Court and dated 5 August 1955, and secondly that area containing by admeasurement 32 perches, more or less, known as Waihaha 2c 3A, as described by partition order of the Maori Land Court dated 20 September 1955; as are more particularly delineated on the plan numbered M.A. 21/3/189 lodged in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
