Declaring Lands in Wellington and Otago Land Districts
Vested in the Wellington and Otago Education Boards as
Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the
Queen

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it
is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any
other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by
Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school
site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose
shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site,
or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty,
freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the
same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or ease-
ments affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of
the said Act, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas
vested in the Wellington Education Board and the land de-
scribed in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested
in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall
be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged
from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject
to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the
same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

PART Lot 1, D.P. 281, being part Section 20, Block VIII,
Mangahao Survey District (now known as Section 70, Block
VIII, Mangahao Survey District): Area, 4·35 perches, more
or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 428, folio 66. As
shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/108A deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wel-
lington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. Plan 23990.)

Also Lot 1, D.P. 12548, being part Section 212, Town of
Featherston, situated in Block III, Wairarapa Survey District:
Area, 1 rood 34·17 perches, more or less. All certificate of

L. and S. 6/6/1044E deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

VIII, Waihemo Survey District: Area, 5 acres, more or less.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto, together with a right of way reserved in and
by memorandum of transfer No. 226931, Wellington Land
Registry, now held for better utilisation, is hereby set apart
for a public school; and I also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the 16th day of June 1958.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land in the Wellington Land District con-
taining 5 acres 2 roods 31 perches, situated in Block XI,
Paekakariki Survey District, Wellington R.D., being part
College Reserve; as the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 155964 (S.O. 23921) deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and
thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 4th day of June 1958.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto, now held for State housing purposes, is
hereby set apart for buildings of the General Government;
and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on
and after the 16th day of June 1958.

SCHEDULE

ALL those pieces of land in the South Auckland Land District
containing together 1 rood 21·8 perches, situated in the
Borough of Kawerau, being Lots 3 and 44, D.P. S. 4503,
being part Allotment 315, Parish of Matata. Part certificate
of title, Volume 1206, folio 141, Auckland Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 4th day of June 1958.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a secondary
school; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the 16th day of June 1958.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land in the Southland Land District
containing 36·6 perches, being Section 46, Block I, Invercar-
gill Hundred. Part certificate of title, Volume 133, folio 164,
Southland Land Registry.

hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a public school;
and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on
and after the 16th day of June 1958.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land in the Otago Land District containing 4
acres and 2·5 perches, situated in Block XXXI, Town of Frank-
ton, Otago R.D., being Section 5; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 156188
(S.O. 12526) deposited in the office of the Minister of
Works at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
