The South-eastern Side of Portion of Main Street, in the City of Palmerston North, Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 6th day of February 1958, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Palmerston North City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Palmerston North, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the south-eastern side of Main Street fronting a subdivision of Lot 3, D.P. 4355, part Section 387, Township of Palmerston North, comprised in certificate of title 316/15.
SECOND SCHEDULE
THE south-eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Palmerston North, known as Main Street, fronting Lot 3, D.P. 4355, being part Section 387, Township of Palmerston North; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 156136 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Authorising the Waitara Borough Council to Erect and Use an Electric Line in the County of Taranaki

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Waitara Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place and use the electric line described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
2. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
3. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
DURATION OF LICENCE
4. This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 7th day of January 1967.
SCHEDULE
A line for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described leading from a point on the present Borough boundary at the intersection of Nelson Street and Brookes Terrace in a southerly direction along the western side of the New Plymouth-Waitara Highway to a water-pumping station of the licensee situated on the western side of that highway adjacent to section 29, Block III, Paritutu Survey District in the County of Taranaki, the said line being shown by means of a green line on the plan marked S.H.D. 480 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

Chairman of the National Historic Places Trust Appointed

PURSUANT to section 5 of the Historic Places Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby appoints George Hamish Ormond Wilson, M.A., of Bulls, to be a member and Chairman of the National Historic Places Trust for a term of three years as on and from the 1st day of April 1958, in the place of the Honourable Charles Moore Bowden, of Wellington, retiring under the provisions of paragraph (c) of subsection (2) of section 6 of the Act.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- The Kaituna River Board is hereby dissolved.
- The powers and functions, and the assets and liabilities of that Board are hereby transferred to the Tauranga County Council.
