The Land and Income Tax Payment Order 1958

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 26th day of May 1958

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Land and Income Tax Payment Order 1958.

  2. This order applies to:

(a) Land tax for the year of assessment which commenced on the 1st day of April 1958; and

(b) Income tax payable for that year of assessment on income derived (or deemed to have been derived) during the income year which commenced on the 1st day of April 1957, other than social security income tax payable pursuant to section 62A of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1957.

  1. Land tax shall be due and payable in one sum on the 16th day of September 1958.

  2. Income tax, to which this order applies, shall be due and payable in one sum on the 3rd day of February 1959.

  3. Land tax and income tax, to which this order applies, shall be payable at any office of the Taxes Division, Inland Revenue Department, or at any money-order post office.

The Marlborough College Board of Governors Order 1958

PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914 as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Marlborough College Board of Governors Order 1958.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1958.

  1. The constitution of the Board of Governors of Marlborough College prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914 is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:

(a) Two members appointed by the Wellington Education Board.

(b) Four members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school.

(c) Two members appointed by the Governor-General.

(d) One member appointed by the Blenheim Borough Council.

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Mount Roskill Borough Council to reclaim from the sea in Hillsborough Bay, Manukau Harbour, the land coloured yellow on plan marked M.D. 10359 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to Issue a Proclamation Closing Roads and Vesting Land in the County of Coromandel in Her Majesty the Queen as Crown Land Subject to the Land Act 1948

COBHAM, Governor-General

PURSUANT to section 24 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby give notice that it is my intention, after the expiration of three months from the date hereof, to issue Proclamations closing the roads and declaring the lands described in the Schedule hereto to be vested in Her Majesty as Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

Plans showing these lands are deposited in the offices of the Coromandel County Council at Coromandel, the Mining Registrar at Thames, the Commissioner of Crown Lands at Hamilton, the Chief Surveyor, Department of Lands and Survey at Auckland, and the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, where they may be inspected during office hours free of charge.

Any objections to the proposals either in general terms or by the registered proprietor or licensee or any other person having any estate or interest in the lands specified in the Schedule hereto, are to be made in writing addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Department of Lands and Survey, Knox Street, Hamilton on or before the 19th day of September 1958.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICTβ€”COUNTY OF COROMANDEL

ALL those lands shown on the plans marked L. and S. 22/2614/3A, B, C, D, and E deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and more particularly described as:

  1. All those portions of the Kauri Block as shown bordered in red on the plan L. and S. 22/2614/3A.

  2. All those portions of the Townships of Kingstone, Bayview, Kapanga, Wynyardton, Wynyardton North, Belleville, and Buffalo shown coloured yellow, purple, or red on the plans L. and S. 22/2614/3B, C, D, and E.

  3. All those lands being either legal roads, or strips of land laid off as roads but not legalised, in the above townships and in Kauri Block, and coloured green on the plans referred to above.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 30th day of May 1958.
