to be the Returning Officer to hold the first election of members of the Board of the Five Rivers Rabbit District constituted under the said Act and to prepare the first ratepayers’ list for the said district.

Varying a Notice Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be a Tribal Committee Area Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, I, Walter Nash, Minister of Maori Affairs, hereby vary the notice dated 27 September 1957 and published in the Gazette on 10 October 1957, at page 1779, declaring parts of the Westland Tribal District to be a Tribal Committee area for the purposes of the said Act by substituting for the name Waiohorere appearing in the Schedule thereto the name Mawhera.
