THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders
and declares that the portions of road described in the
Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order
in Council, become Government road.

ALL those pieces of road in the Taranaki Land District,
situated in Block I, Mimi Survey District, Taranaki R.D.,
described as follows:

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby further amends, as set forth
in the Schedule hereto, the Order in Council dated the 31st
day of August 1931 and published in the Gazette on the 3rd
day of September 1931 at page 2527 authorising Kanieri
Electric Ltd. to use water for the purpose of generating
electricity and to erect and use certain electric lines; as
amended by Orders in Council dated the 16th day of Septem-
ber 1935 and published in the Gazette on the 19th day of the
same month at page 2656, dated the 23rd day of June 1948
and published in the Gazette on the 1st day of July 1948 at
page 810, and dated the 23rd day of February 1954 and
published in the Gazette on the 4th day of March 1954 at
page 335.
SCHEDULE
Clause 16 of the First Schedule is hereby amended by
omitting from the second paragraph thereof the figures "£16"
and "£120" and substituting the figures "£20" and "£480"
respectively.

Authorising Arthur Cargill Sutton, of Waitangi Station, Kurow,
Farmer, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating
Electricity

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 31st day of
March 1958

THE HON. C. F. SKINNER, M.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby grants to Arthur Cargill
Sutton of Waitangi Station, Kurow, farmer (hereinafter re-
ferred to as the licensee), a licence, subject to the conditions
hereinafter set forth, to take and use from the Station Creek
(hereinafter referred to as the said stream), situated in Rural
Section 28766, Block III, Gibson Survey District, in the County
of Waimate, for the purpose hereinafter set forth, a stream of
water not exceeding 2 cubic feet per second at any one time.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
the Water Power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply
Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part
of this licence, except in so far as the same may be incon-
sistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS - This licence is issued under the Water Power Regulations
1934, and is subject thereto, and to the Electrical Supply
Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the
Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to all regulations
hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor
respectively.
UTILISATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS - Water shall be used under this licence solely for the pur-
pose of generating electricity and shall be taken from the said
stream at a point in Rural Section 28766, Block III, Gibson
Survey District, indicated on the plan marked P.W.D. 95469
deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department
at Wellington.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS - The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the con-
ditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following
works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said
works being indicated on the said plan P.W.D. 95469:
(a) Headworks consisting of an intake with a water race
and pipelines leading to the powerhouse hereinafter
referred to giving a static head of approximately
75 ft.
(b) Pelton wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equip-
ment for generating electricity, situated in Rural
Section 28766, Block III, Gibson Survey District.
(c) Tail race leading from the said powerhouse back to the
said stream.
SYSTEM or SUPPLY - The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph
(d) of Regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations
1935 and shall be an alternating current system.
